      Helakoski…..6 Dev Patel Movies Watched
      Cogerson….6 Dev Patel Movies Watched
      SteveLensman….3 Dev Patel Movies Watched
      2. Wow….for Dev Patel to have 4 and 5 connections to these actors is really impressive…especially with Patel’s limited movie output
      3. The Honorary Counsul was called Beyond The Limit in the United States.
      4. Malcolm and Harvey lead the way with 5 one person connections
      5. Only Mr. Blonde struggle with only 1 one person connections.
Fun list of stats as always.

  2. Hi

I thought he was terrific in Slumdog and Exotic Hotel. He’s definitely somebody who has a future. Strange that he was first spotted on Skins, a programme that was popular among young people in Britain but not a mass audience. That opened the door for him to international stardom.
The good thing about doing a page about somebody young is that there will hopefully be plenty to add. He won a BAFTA last Sunday and who knows maybe next week at the Oscars.
I will make a point of seeing Lion.

    1. Hey Chris….thanks for checking out one of our youngest UMR subjects. I had never even heard of Skins before doing this page. But yep….that is the role that helped him to internatioanal stardom. Hopefully….I will be adding one quality movie after another on this page…..and very few The Last Airbenders to the list…lol. As for his Oscar chances…currently he is the second best bet…at 6 to 1 in Vegas….granted Mahershala Ali is the huge favorite at 1 to 12 odds which is one of the lowest odds I have ever seen. Thanks for the feedback. 🙂

  3. This must have taken ages to put together Bruce. 🙂

And one of your youngest subjects so far? Wallace Beery is 105 years older than Dev. Beery was already dead when Patel’s grandparents were born, probably. 😉

After studying the chart for some time I’m pretty sure I’ve only seen 3 of the 8 films listed – Slumdog Millionaire, The Last Chappie and Airbender.

It’s been a few years since I last saw Slumdog but I liked it enough to buy it on DVD.

Interesting trivia about the first males born in the 1990s to receive Oscar nominations.

Good work as always Bruce. Voted Up.

    1. Hey Steve….you are so right…I think this one took about a day longer than the Ray Milland one….lol. Good stats on Wallace Beery….and you are right….Patel’s grandparents were probably not born when he passed away.

I am sure you had to get out pen and paper to do this tally count….I know I did… Hey…you gotta give the man credit….he has anchored two movies that got Best Picture Oscar nomination….Judd Nelson does not have one yet…lol.

      Tally Count.

  4. Nice. I feel I can compute in your tally count this time. I have seen 6 of these movies. The only ones I have not see are Lion and About Cherry. I want to see Lion, never heard of the second one. Good trivia. Nicely done.

    1. Hey Helakoski….thanks for commenting on our Dev Patel page. Not only our tallies the same number….but it is the same movies seen and not seen….as I also have not seen Lion and About Cherry. I knew About Cherry existed….I just did not know he was in it. Glad you liked the trivia.

      Tally Count.
