  1. Just added Steve’s Julianne Moore You Tube Video To This Page. My thoughts (found on his chanel) listed below.

“I just recently watched #12 Gloria Bell. That was the 50th Julianne Moore movie that I have watched. My page lists 62 of her movies. Of the movies listed here only movies #23 The Shipping News, #22 Cookie’s Fortune and #21 An Ideal Husband have escaped me…thanks for lining them all up for me like that. So 37 of the 40 shown. Favorites would include #38 Nine Months…love the dinosaur scene with Tom Arnold….Robin Williams wanted to play the dinosaur…but the director did not want him too…so Williams got the doctor role. #18 Crazy Stupid Love….good adult comedy/drama. #15 Don Jon…good directorial debut of JGL. #6 Short Cuts…long but good. #3 The Fugitive…her part was supposed to be bigger…and#2 Children of Men….great movie…though her part is small. Never been a huge fan of #4 The Big Lebowski….just re-watched it…..it is ok. Good video…voted up and shared.”

    1. Excellent post Bruce, cheers. 37 watched out of the 40 films listed here is amazing, and 50 out of the 62 listed on your page is even more impressive. I’ve seen 19, Flora 3. You’re way ahead with modern movies, I guess I’m too picky and I tend to watch the same movies over and over. Thanks again for the vote, share and comment, it is appreciated.

  2. Julianne has a reported net worth of $50 million and her awards and nominations are mega according to IMDB – 113 and 155 respectively. I consider that her best performance to date has been as Sarah Palin in the TV movie Game Change [2012] for which she won a Golden Globe and a Primetime Emmy as Best actress. She has been in 13 other TV productions between 1984 and 2017. Her adjusted total US Cogerson gross in the table above is approx. $3.5 billion for 63 movies [average $55.7 million]

Best POSTERS entries [40-21]. 1/Forgotten 2/Next 3/Evolution 4/1st one for Blindness 5/Carrie 6/Shelter 7/Maps to the Stars 8/Non Stop 9/2nd one for Kingsman 10/An Ideal Husband. I’m not sure what exactly the pictorial for the latter was: poster, still or magazine cover? but I found it classy anyway.

Best POSTERS [entries 1-20] 1/Safe 2/Crazy Stupid Love 3/End of the Affair 4/Gloria Bell 5/What Myrna Knew 6/ Single Man 7/2nd one for Short Cuts 8/The Big Lebowski 9/Children of Men 10/Magnolia 11/Boogie Nights 12/The Mockingjay posters

[Still Alice which I saw recently gave us another great Moore performance]

Rated 98.5%.Probably your best so far in the new series. You and WH agree on 4 of Julianne’s Top 6 best reviewed. [I am presuming that I am not allowed to highlight the ones about which you two disagree in case I upset one or both of you.]

    1. Hi Bob, thanks for the kind words and generous rating in your review to my Julianne Moore video, the added info always appreciated.

Glad you liked the posters and stills.

The poster for An Ideal Husband did look a bit like the cover for a magazine dealing with ideal husbands! But with Cate Blanchett taking center stage. Maybe a sequel titled An Ideal Wife might turn up some day?

With the addition of Gloria Bell this video is more up to date than usual. Problem with doing top ten videos on current stars is that they go out of date as soon as new films pop up. While Bruce only has to insert a new title into his chart, I would have to create a new video and delete the old one. I don’t think I would go to all that trouble.

Two films scored 10 out of 10 from my sources for Mrs. Moore – Magnolia and Boogie Nights. Two more scored 9 out of 10 – The Fugitive and Children of Men.

“I loved doing The Lost World with Steven Spielberg and then I had Hannibal with Ridley Scott. The big movies that I’ve done I’ve worked with directors that I’ve admired, and cast members. I’ve really enjoyed a different kind of experience. Like doing the Broadway play, you don’t know what that experience is until you do it.”

“I’m looking for the truth. The audience doesn’t come to see you, they come to see themselves.”

      1. HI STEVE Last week I watched Julianne in Assassins with Stallone and I initially mistook her for Susan Sarandon. When they were both younger I thought they looked a lot alike.

Thanks for the usual fine feedback complete with background information and interesting quotes. I especially liked the final one about audiences going to the movies to see themselves in a movie star’s performances.

Maybe that explains The Master’s animosity towards The Great Mumbler – when Hirsch saw all that exceptional talent of Mr Mumbles, Joel couldn’t recognise himself as the one having it!

        Keep safe.

  3. Hello Bruce, we’ve just been watching Shelter/6 Souls starring J.Moore and I came here to get some additional information on a movie I still don’t know what to make of…strangely, there is no information here. Does that mean it had not been released to american theaters? Oh I miss the good old imdb message boards :O(

    1. Hey Lupino….seems I saw this movie a few years ago….but barely remember it….which is not a good sign. 6 Souls was made in 2010….but not released until 2013….and when it was…..it was released as a streaming movie…though it says it got a limited release….but like many movies that get a streaming release….rarely do any box office totals ever appear on Box Office Mojo. So without any box office….6 Souls does not make the table…sorry about that.

I miss the IMDb boards too…..many times I would go there to understand things I did not get while watching the movie….but no more….sad sad sad.

      1. Hi Bruce,

guess where we watched 6 Souls…netflix…should have answered my question 🙂
Anyway, thanks for your reply. Guess I won’t rewatch it anytime soon….not before I revisited Mourning becomes Electra, that is 😉
Oh those good old imdb message board times….

        1. Hey Lupino….as more and more movies go to streaming first….it is making me think of ways to change the UMR formula to include those movies……so much to do…lol. Enjoy your Electra……whenever you view it again. Thanks for the return comment.
