Well you have come to the right place, because we have all of that information and much much more.

Mark Ruffalo (1967-) is an American actor, director, and producer.   Ruffalo’s IMDb page shows 65 acting credits since 1988. This page will rank Mark Ruffalo movies from Best to Worst in six different sortable columns of information. Television shows, shorts, cameos and movies that were not released in North American theaters were not included in the rankings.

Drivel part of the page: After writing 7 straight classic movie pages….we felt it was time to do a current movie page.  I’ve been a fan of Mark Ruffalo ever since he began showing up in movies.  Here in Va Beach, Virginia…that was big news because Ruffalo grew up here and went to high school here…..even graduating the same year as I did.  If I did not run across Ruffalo on a high school football field, pretty sure I ran across him at one of the Virginia Dual Wrestling events held in this area.  Not saying I knew him…just saying we were walking around the same places at the same time oh so many years ago.  Ruffalo and the late Margaret Sullavan are the only two Oscar® nominated actors to come out of this area….so I have to pull for him to continue his awesome movie career.

  1. Added Steve’s Mark Ruffalo YouTube video to this page….our thoughts found on his channel found below.

“Mark Ruffalo went to school in my area. Pretty sure we played sports together…though I do not specifically remember him. I have 30 of the movies listed here and a total of 36 of his movies. lots of favorites….his Hulk appearances are always so of the best parts of The Avengers movies. I liked the first Now You See Me #22. He was excellent in Shutter Island, Polar Bear and The Kids Are Alright. I have some how managed not to see his Dark Waters, but I want to. Good video. Voted up and shared.”

    1. Hi Bruce, I’m falling behind in replies here, now you know how I feel when I post something at the UMR. 🙂

Great anecdote about Ruffalo at your school. Your tally of 30 out of the 36 on the video easily beats my 18, Flora has seen one – 13 going on 30.

Good actor I liked him as the Hulk in the Avengers. I enjoyed Now You See Me 1 & 2 but the ending to the first one was stretching things a bit, it’s like they had suddenly thought it up after they’d finished the film.

Thanks for the vote, share and comment, much appreciated.

      1. Hey Steve….it is the price you have to pay for having a popular website. WoC keeps telling me to reduce my time commenting….but so far I have resisted her advice. Ruffalo grew up around here…so I have always felt a connection to him. His role in The Last Castle got lots of press around here…..yet his roles in The Avengers gets no more than the other Avengers…mainly because….our local paper got rid of most of the local writers….so the entertainment articles come from places like Chicago and New York.

  2. STEVE: Back to a normal length video again with plenty of fine stills. It pleased me personally to the tune of 98%. You and WH agree on 4 of Mark’s Top 6 Best Reviewed movies.

    1. Hi Bob, thanks for the review, generous rating, info and trivia, always appreciated.

Glad you liked the posters and stills.

I haven’t seen his newest film Dark Waters. Once critic called it a provocative drama for fans of Erin Brockovich. Dark Waters is a stern, studiously provocative drama, based on the true story of a lawyer reluctantly pursuing a chemical company knowingly poisoning the public.

Whistleblower movies are generally not my cup of tea, I may watch it on cable some day but like Erin Brockovich and Silkwood, once will be quite enough.

Three films scored 10 out of 10 from my sources – The Avengers, Foxcatcher and Spotlight.

Six films scored 9 out of 10 – Infinity War, Endgame, Thor Ragnarok, Zodiac, Eternal Sunshine and The Kids Are All Right.

Infinity War tops IMDB charts and Endgame is no.1 at Rotten Tomatoes.

Eternal Sunshine tops my chart and Spotlight tops Bruce’s critics chart.

“I don’t like this idea of Method. I come from that school, but what I was taught was that it’s your imagination. You do your homework, and you use your imagination. People use the Method as a shield; it shields them from being vulnerable. I hear all these young actors who are like, ‘I’m Method, I’m gonna go live in the house, you know, I totally get it, I’ve done it, I’ve been there’, but one thing I know is it kills spontaneity. They’ll still give great performances, but they’re not playing with the other actors – it’s all about them. And spontaneity and vulnerability are gold on screen and on stage. In ‘On the Waterfront’ when Brando reaches down and picks up that glove and puts it on his hand, that is magic. You can’t plan that.”

      1. HI STEVE: Thanks for your feedback and personal thoughts. I permit you to have your own cup of tea!

Good Brando quote so thanks for sharing it – that glove scene gets talked about quite a lot by even film historians; but I hadn’t known that Mark was a Brando admirer.

It doesn’t surprise me the type of movie themes that Mark likes because he is a political activist who champions for example “pro-choice” which is of course a very controversial and hot issue in the States; “I don’t want to turn back the hands of time to when women shuttled across state lines in the thick of night to resolve an unwanted pregnancy in a cheap hotel room.” Mark has said.

Also he is outspoken on behalf of the LGBT community; and he caused uproar in June 2017 after posting a petition on Twitter urging NBC to stop hiring white conservative commentators.

My own fave whistleblower movie is The Insider starring Crowe and Pacino [with a lovely performance as well from Canuck Christopher Plummer] which I have watched several times. Anyway I hope you have a good weekend but whatever you do please keep safe.
