Pixar Movies vs DreamWorks Movies Can Be Ranked 7 Ways In The Table Below

The really cool thing about this table is that it is “user-sortable”. Rank the movies anyway you want.

  • Movie title and with a link to the movie’s trailer.
  • Sort Pixar Movies and DreamWorks Movies by which company produced the movie and the voice star of the movie
  • Sort Pixar Movies and DreamWorks Movies by adjusted domestic box office grosses using current movie ticket cost (in millions)
  • Sort Pixar Movies and DreamWorks Movies by adjusted worldwide box office grosses using current movie ticket cost (in millions)
  • Sort Pixar Movies and DreamWorks Movies by critic reviews and audiences voting.  60% rating or higher should indicate a good movie.
  • Sort by how many Oscar® nominations and how many Oscar® wins each Pixar Movie and DreamWorks Movie received.
  • Sort Pixar Movies and DreamWorks Movies by Ultimate Movie Rankings (UMR) Score.  UMR Score puts box office, reviews and awards into a mathematical equation and gives each movie a score.  The ceiling to earn points for box office is $200 million…once a movie passes that mark it stops earning points in that category.
  • You can use the search and sort buttons to make this table very interactive.

  1. 1 Though usually they are well made and earn piles of money I am not a big fan of computer-animated movies to which major stars lend just their voices and I thought it was very sad that Paul Newman who had a great physical screen presence and gave powerhouse performances in films like Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, The Hustler and The Verdict should perform his virtual swan song as the voice of a car in the 2006 Cars and I see that the producers have compounded the situation by dragging Paul’s voice out of the archives for the latest Cars movie.

2 Thankfully after a voice outing in the 2011 Cars 2 Sir Maurice Micklewhite redeemed himself with another turn as the wonderful Alfred in The Dark Knight Rises and especially with an excellent performance in the 2015 art house type movie Youth.

3 Anyway I always have a keen statistical interest in even franchises that aren’t to my artistic taste and I am therefore appreciative of the Work Horse’s efforts to keep us up to date on the latest developments relating to key movie franchises.
