Requests

requests1

Thankfully we get lots of requests for new pages.  Well…the wife recently informed me that my way of collecting my requests was pretty weak.  She seems to think that writing down requests on whatever piece of paper or napkin or bill that is currently on my desk is not the way to do it.  So….since she is way smarter than me….I have decided to create a page just for requests.  Plus it should give a good idea of what pages are coming down the pike.

My logic in picking which page to do next….I lean heavily towards the subject that has the most requests.

  • Roger Corman – request by Dan
  • Peter Cushing – request made by SteveLensman, Dan & Brando 90
  • Disney Live Action 1967-1980 – request by Mimic
  • Foreign Movies requested by Laurent
  • Samuel Goldwyn – request by Dan
  • Sam Katzman – request by Dan
  • Fritz Lang – request by Lupino, Just Me
  • Bruce Lee – request by Brando 90
  • Harold Lloyd – request by Søren, Me
  • Henry Mancini – request by Flora
  • Patricia Medina – request by Dan
  • Mirisch Brothers – request by Dan
  • Edward Small – request by Dan
  • Rudolph Valentino – request by Laurent

Completed requests:

Many more to come…have to find all of my old napkins and transfer the requests to this page.

    Thank you for the Donna Reed page. I would like to also request Cyd Charisse. Another MGM star and perhaps the sexiest of “Golden Age” dancers.

    1. Hey John…I will add Cyd Charisse….I know that is one of Steve’s favorites too….and he just published a Charisse page….so maybe it is time to give her some UMR respect too. Thanks for the suggestion.

  2. hello Bruce
    the part was aunt Pittypatt Hamilton
    she plaid in Camille Whit Garbo and Angel and the Flame of Orleans with Dietrich
    she was like Miss Thelma Ritter at that time

    1. Hey Pierre……wow….not thinking my guess could have been even more WRONG….lol. Well…I did a quick IMDb search on her and then I looked at my database….and I was shocked to see I already had 20 of her 36 movies in my database. So I figured I would share what I have currently….hopefully this will scratch that Laura Hope Crews itch…lol.

      1. Thanks for this overview of Aunt Pitypatts box office and audience appeal! I had to smile when I read you thought Laura was Scarlett’s daughter 🙂
        Crews was a great character actress that made her presence felt in almost anything I’ve seen her in.

        1. Hey Lupino….well…I am aware of Laura Hope Crews now…and this represents 55.55% of her career. I am sure I will notice her the next time I watch Gone With The Wind.

  3. Hey Pierre…I will add her to the list….but I must admit…I have never even heard of Laura Hope Crews…..without doing an IMDb search…I am guessing she was the daughter of Rhett and Scarlett…probably wrong….but I will look her up. Still thanks for the suggestion….it is greatly appreciated.

  4. HELLO BRUCE
    I Dont know if it is a good idea but may i suggest Miss Laura Hope Crews
    of course to day maybe she is in the shadow but in the main time she got an eternal part in GITW and she plaid always funny and excentric part;
    she plaid with DIETRICH and GARBO and she was a very great second part top billing;
    if i look the list i think for Broderick Crawford too;
    THANK YOU for all the labour you do for us
    have a nice day
    pierre
