Requests

requests1

Thankfully we get lots of requests for new pages.  Well…the wife recently informed me that my way of collecting my requests was pretty weak.  She seems to think that writing down requests on whatever piece of paper or napkin or bill that is currently on my desk is not the way to do it.  So….since she is way smarter than me….I have decided to create a page just for requests.  Plus it should give a good idea of what pages are coming down the pike.

My logic in picking which page to do next….I lean heavily towards the subject that has the most requests.

  • Roger Corman – request by Dan
  • Peter Cushing – request made by SteveLensman, Dan & Brando 90
  • Disney Live Action 1967-1980 – request by Mimic
  • Foreign Movies requested by Laurent
  • Samuel Goldwyn – request by Dan
  • Sam Katzman – request by Dan
  • Fritz Lang – request by Lupino, Just Me
  • Bruce Lee – request by Brando 90
  • Harold Lloyd – request by Søren, Me
  • Henry Mancini – request by Flora
  • Patricia Medina – request by Dan
  • Mirisch Brothers – request by Dan
  • Edward Small – request by Dan
  • Rudolph Valentino – request by Laurent

Completed requests:

Many more to come…have to find all of my old napkins and transfer the requests to this page.

  1. Hey Bruce,

just because she turns 90 today…Gina Lollobrigida, aka Gina Nationale and La Lollo would make a nice addition to this site…and while I’m at it: Buon compleanno, Signorina

    1. Hello Bruce,

A very good idea, because after all, Gina Lollobrigida is one of the biggest star of the
      1950 /1960 in The world.
Lollo is one of the biggest box office in France and in italia in those days.
She has good box office in America, she turned with Bogart, Lancaster ,Curtis, Brynner
Laurent confirm that in one comment for France and When you see Salomon and Sheba, I think she would be terrific in Cleopatre.
And after all you Have a page for Loren, so why not…..
      So long
      Pierre

    1. Hey Fay P. Thanks for the suggestion….he would make a good UMR subject….I will add him to the request list. 🙂

  2. I was posting twice on where I got the information on Movie Time’d information on ticket price from 1929-1994 with a website link but It won’t post

  3. Hey Kevin…not sure what the answer is to your question….so many sources so many different answers. WoC has that number looked up in our database (so I do not screw it up…lol)…so I can see not she what she has programmed in….doing some math…it looks like our average price is between Mojo’s and Movie Time’s. I went looking for the source we used so many years ago…and now that link is coming up….”not found”…..but that was linked to the National Theater Organization. WoC is currently in Las Vegas….and can’t do her magic to give you what we have listed.

  4. which woul be correct for Tix price of 1959? Box Ofice Mojo .51c , NATO 68c or the book Movie Time .60c?
