Requests

requests1

Thankfully we get lots of requests for new pages.  Well…the wife recently informed me that my way of collecting my requests was pretty weak.  She seems to think that writing down requests on whatever piece of paper or napkin or bill that is currently on my desk is not the way to do it.  So….since she is way smarter than me….I have decided to create a page just for requests.  Plus it should give a good idea of what pages are coming down the pike.

My logic in picking which page to do next….I lean heavily towards the subject that has the most requests.

  • Roger Corman – request by Dan
  • Peter Cushing – request made by SteveLensman, Dan & Brando 90
  • Disney Live Action 1967-1980 – request by Mimic
  • Foreign Movies requested by Laurent
  • Samuel Goldwyn – request by Dan
  • Sam Katzman – request by Dan
  • Fritz Lang – request by Lupino, Just Me
  • Bruce Lee – request by Brando 90
  • Harold Lloyd – request by Søren, Me
  • Henry Mancini – request by Flora
  • Patricia Medina – request by Dan
  • Mirisch Brothers – request by Dan
  • Edward Small – request by Dan
  • Rudolph Valentino – request by Laurent

Completed requests:

Many more to come…have to find all of my old napkins and transfer the requests to this page.

          1. Hey Dan.
            1. I guess….I need to get a Carrol Baker page done.
            2. As always….thanks for sharing these lists.
            3. List one… Baker and #1 Mr. Roberts…..that is good trivia.
            4. List two…..Looking at the co-stars….they are well spread out…with 3 movies being the most…normally somebody like Bess Flowers has 6…..though she is in the group of 3.
            5. 27 Oscar winners….with two movies being the ones that bring the most….How The Greatest Story Won The West.
            Good feedback.

      1. Hi Mr. Cogerson,

I have a collection of movie photos and cards of my favorite stars from the 40s-80s.
I have never found box office data that could be used to support how they did.
So I print it out and paste it to the pictures for my personal usage..
Just like when I was a kid and collected baseball cards with all there statistics were included.
I am kind of a statistics hound.
You are the only Website that takes the time to do this research and I am so honored
        that you share it with.
There are a lots of movie stars that you have not personally set up, so I asked please can you provide this box office data for me.
I hope this clears this up a little.

        Thx so much

        Mike

        Mike

        1. Hey Mike.
          1. Thanks for the explanation. I was thinking if you had a website that was using the numbers…then I was hoping you would share the links.
          2. Glad our website is useful.
          3. Your setup sounds like a lot of work…..but a very cool project.
          4. Hope your new year was awesome.
          Good stuff.

      2. The first time I saw Julie Adams was in The Private War of Major Benson, seen at a resort or at summer camp. 1. Hey Dan
          1. Wow….those are two big lists…and a small one.
          2. Actually when I saw she had so many on the current list….I had to go to IMDb to realize she is still alive and well..with her last role being as recent as 2011…..pretty impressive for a 91 year old.
          3. 5 movies with Rock Hudson? Did not know that.
          4. Interesting about her playing Stewart’s wife on that television show.
          5. It seems strange that a legend like Stewart would have turned towards television….and every stranger that it was not a massive hit. Only running for 24 episodes…..and there were not a lot of entertainment choices back then.
          6. 14 Oscar winners for a career that has 148 IMDb credits seems pretty sleight.
As always…..thanks for sharing your information.

    2. Just my opinion but Julie Adams will be always remembered as one of the American television soap opera greats for her roles as Denise on GENERAL HOSPITAL in the late 1960s and as Paula on the now defunct soap opera known as CAPITOL in the mid 1980s.

      1. Hey Greg….I did not realize the lady from The Black Lagoon was Paula on Capitol….I used to have a girlfriend that would “tape” that show and would make me watch it every night when we got off work..so for about 4 months in the 1980s I watched every single show they made. Can’t say I miss doing that…..lol. Thanks for the feedback.
