  • Biehn Fan on Michael Biehn MoviesMichael Biehn will leave a lasting movie legacy thanks to his iconic roles in some of the most influential action and sci-fi films of the 1980s and 1990s. His performances in James Cameron's classics—The Terminator (1984), Aliens (1986), and The Abyss (1989)—cemented his place as a rugged, relatable action hero. As Kyle Reese in The Terminator, Biehn brought emotional depth to a genre often dominated by one-dimensional characters, turning a time-traveling soldier into a tragic romantic figure. In Aliens, his portrayal of Corporal Hicks combined leadership and vulnerability, earning him fan loyalty that persists decades later. Unlike many of his...

  • Bobby on Yearly Reviews 1925-2024Hi Mike, thanks for responding. The Variety archives are helpful, but I was hoping for a more thorough response. For example, where more information on the three big ledgers, such as the Eddie Mannix ledger, could be accessed, and if there are more ledgers out there. Or if there are books or other documents out there that could also be checked.

You Know there are several movies from th1970s that I found box office data on that show nothing in wikipedia or any other source. I wonder why? Good stuff
  • Cogerson on Joe Don Baker MoviesHey Dan. Thanks for sharing this information on the late Mr. Baker. His ranking is pretty good for a somebody that has not made a movie since 2012. I can not remember his part in Cool Hand Luke. The supporting cast in that movie is pretty impressive. I see Robert Loggia as one his costars. Speedtrap did not make the table. I could find nothing on box office on that one….and I tried pretty hard to. Good stuff as always.
  • Mike HoF 2020 on Michael Douglas MoviesHi Sandra, Did your family like to watch "The Simpsons" tv show? If you did or didn't. Back in 1996... • Mike HoF 2020 on Yearly Reviews 1925-2024Hi Bobby, I help with some of the data provided. The years from 1920-1979 are best found in Variety Magazine. They provide a weekly estimated Box Office data from over 200 movie theaters shown in large cities from around the USA and Canada. They also provide Box Rental data on the top movies. The earlier years where there is no Box Office Rental data from around 1920-1929, have to be reviewed manually to come up with estimated Box Office Rental. The best way to find a lot of those Variety issues is on Wikipedia. They are free to peruse Thats...

  • Cogerson on Jeremy Piven MoviesHey Dan. Wow, he is at 306. I guess I assumed he would be higher, since his movie career got derailed with his off screen issues. • Lyle on Site IndexHello Bruce. I was wondering if you could tell me what the domestic rentals were for the Blake Edward's 1974 film THE TAMARIND SEED. I Know it was not a big hit film in it's year but I really enjoyed the film in the theater. And I still enjoy it today. I give it three and a half out of four stars. Higher than most people seem to. It had a great cast and nice locations.
  • Julie A. Devin on Michael Sarrazin MoviesMichael Sarrazin had the most blue and soulful eyes and such a gentle and sexy voice, too. I miss him so much! My favorite film of his was Frankenstein: The True Story because he brought the creature to life and was so sad as his physical appearance deteriorated. And, of course, They Shoot Horses, Don't They? is a magnificent film, too,
  • RMc on 2008 Top Grossing MoviesIs "Asphalt Flowers" a real movie? The only thing I can find about it is an 18-minute short film of that title, made in 2018, not 2008. And Gustavo Goulart's IMDB page doesn't mention it. A copyright trap, perhaps? ;)

  • Cogerson on Dorothy Stickney MoviesGoing into today, I had never heard of Dorothy Stickney. Then I went to an antique store with WoC and I found the picture right above this comment. After some debate, WoC convinced me to buy the picture with two autographs. After some research, I realized this was the next UMR subject. So here is a Dorothy Stickney page. Yet another example of me thinking I know a lot about movies, and then realizing there is so much more to know.
  • Mike HoF 2020 on ForumsHi Mr. Cogerson, Here is the 1925 data you wanted. The data is from the Variety issued in 1925. My data is only from original release and year it went thru. I also included notable actors and actresses from the movie. At the bottom I also added the only data that I...
  • Frank on Richard Chamberlain MoviesMay you rest in peace Richard Chamberlain and thank you for decades of superb performances and human integrity. He was one of the most popular teen idols in the 1960s along with Elvis Presley, Troy Donahue, and Ricky Nelson due his successful Dr. Kildare TV series. After a couple of U.S. films he left for England, where he vowed to become a serious actor. He was the first U.S. actor to play Hamlet in London, since John Barrymore. Thereafter, he diversified his career into serious theater, movies, and mini-series. His was truly a great actor, both in skill, technique, and...

  • Cogerson on Richard Chamberlain MoviesHey Mike. I have been thinking about writing a 1925 paqe for a while. 420 movies for 1925? That is a staggering amount of movies. I agree having 1925 to 2025 would be pretty cool. You can send them either e-mail or a comment. Which ever is the easiest. My e-mail is cogersonmoviescore@gmail.com
  • Cogerson on Newest UMR PagesChallenged myself to write a new page for each day in March. Happy to say, I not only reached that mark, but, exceeded that by one movie. 32 new movie pages appeared in the month of March. Already over 50 movie pages in 2025. Last year, I did not even crack 100. That was the first time since we started this web page that I did not write many new pages in a single year.
