For those that have been patiently waiting for Robert DeNiro to make a slapstick comedy…your wait is over. The War With Grandpa is filled with slapstick comedy from beginning to the end. Most of the pranks fall very flat. Even my little ones barely laughed while watching this one. Many times I felt sorry for DeNiro, Christopher Walken, Jane Seymour and Uma Thurman that they had to be in this movie. This one seems to be made for kids aged 5 through 10. That is not a big market.

Hey Mike. It was only after watching the trailer that I remembered that Walken and DeNiro were in The Deer Hunter together. They are Russian roulette scenes are some of the most intense in movie history, not thinking this movies going to have any more near that intensity.
