I loved the trailer for this movie. In this one Frank Grillo is stuck in a time loop that seems like a video game. Mel Gibson is the bad guy, while Naomi Watts is the love interest. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I was disappointed in this one.
I wish the movie makers would have made Grillo’s character smarter. I also think the movie should have been edited differently. We pick up Grillo’s character after he had lived the same day 140 different times. Seems in this case, that having the audience figure out what was going on, at the same time as Grillo would have made the movie more interesting. The action is good. There are some humorous moments….just not as many as I was expecting. As for Mel Gibson, he is pretty much wasted in the movie.
Final thought: An ok movie, but I was expecting something a lot better.
