It took awhile to finish this podcast, but the time spent listening to it was well spent. I would agree your voice is more Matthew than Ron. I think maybe you should do some videos with you in front of the camera. My favorite part of this interview was finding out the influences on you.
Hi Bruce,
listened to the podcast last night, but after having done the Luise Rainer thingy first and then listening to either Matthew McConaughey or Ron Howard taking the credit for running YOUR Website, I was too disturbed to comment on it. Anyway, they did good promotional work for UMR and I learned a few things about how this site works. The monthly views? Impressive! Let’s hope that not everyone will start to comment here, otherwise you won’t have time to watch another movie in your life…or you’d have to employ some secretaries to do the answering for you.
By the way, would it have any effect on your standing with Google if we all would turn off our ad blockers?????

Hey Lupino…..thanks for checking out our podcast. Seems people are evenly split between my voice sounding like Matthew McConaughey or Ron Howard. I actually hired them out to promote the website…..so it was both of them….lol. Our views have really grown…we are closing in on 16 million views….and about 4 million a year…..a long way from our first HubPage numbers. The comments can be overwhelming at times…..but I try to still respond to every comment. Not sure how long I will be able to continue to do that. Not thinking ad blockers would hurt our Google standing…..we really do not have many ads. And we you look at the site on mobile devices they are really hard to find. My last free weekend….before school starts back up. I go back to work on Monday and have a week to get ready for the new school year. Enjoy your weekend.
Some thoughts on your guest appearance on BlackEyEland. I like the shout out to Bill James. Being a Red Sox, he has a special place in my heart. Yes your audience is international! You get views from me from the land down under. Fresh and A Life Less Ordinary are very good movies. Sorry to tell you, but even Bruce Willis has a few bad movies. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Ah….the Bruce Willis comment was a joke….yes indeed even Bruce Willis has bad movies….can you say North, The Whole Ten Yards, Breakfast of Champions, Die Hard 5 or Color of Night. Noticed I did not include Bonfire of the Vanities or Hudson Hawk….movies considered horrible….but I kind of like. Good feedback.
