  • Cogerson on Diane Keaton MoviesDebbie (WoC) and I had just finished watching Uncle Buck, when she looked at her phone and saw the sad news of Diane Keaton's passing. Like Robert Redford, who died a few weeks ago, Keaton has been a movie star my entire life....ok minus a few toddler years. Sad sad news. Overall I have seen 44 of her movies. My Mount Rushmore of Diane Keaton movies would be The Godfather, Annie Hall, Somethings Gotta Give and Father of the Bride. Godfather 2 is a classic, but like the original her role is a supporting one. Rest in Peace Ms. Diane...

  • Carol on Robert Redford MoviesRobert Redford has had one of Hollywood’s most versatile careers—as an actor, director, and producer. In A Bridge Too Far (1977), he stood out in the sprawling World War II epic, bringing quiet intensity to a film filled with stars. As a director, he showed a gift for thoughtful, layered storytelling. A River Runs Through It (1992) beautifully captured themes of family, nature, and the passage of time, cementing his reputation behind the camera. Later, with Quiz Show (1994), Redford turned his lens on media, morality, and corruption, creating a sharp, intelligent drama that earned critical acclaim.
  • Anonymous on Robert Redford MoviesRest in Peace Bob Redford. You will be missed.

  • Mike HoF 2020 on RequestsHi UMR and Cogerson family, I was watching a movie tonight and they mentioned something quite interesting that I thought I would share with all. Did you know the original Oscar was designed by Best Art Director named Cedric Gibbons. He also was nominated for 39 Oscars for Best Art Direction and he won a total of 11 Oscars. He received over 1500 on screen credits for 1917-56. Maybe a tribute page to this great Art Director.
  • Cogerson on Graham Greene MoviesHey Dan....thanks for letting me know of Graham Greene's passing. Good information on his movie career. His Top 5 UMR movies are pretty impressive. And in his 19 Oscar winning co-stars and one can easily see he has left behind a very good movie legacy. Rest in Peace Mr. Greene.
  • Dan on Graham Greene MoviesGraham Greene, a trailblazing Canadian First Nations actor who opened doors for Indigenous actors in Hollywood, died September 1 in a Toronto hospital after a long illness. The Oscar nominee from Dances With Wolves was 72. “He was a great man of morals, ethics and character and will be eternally missed,” Greene’s agent Michael Greene said in a statement to Deadline. “You are finally free. Susan Smith is meeting you at the gates of heaven,” he added, referencing the actor’s longtime agent who died in 2013. Greene was born on June 22, 1952 in Ohsweken, on the Six Nations Reserve....

  • Patrick Browne on Bette Davis MoviesBette received 10 Oscar nominations. In 1934 and 1935, the Academy allowed members of the different voting branches - as it still is today, in ’34 and ’35, actors voted for actors, directors voted for directors..... in the nominating process - to add “write-in” candidates to the list of nominees before the ballots were thrown open to all Academy members to vote for the winners. Appropriately enough, these actions were taken because of an outcry in Hollywood when people discovered that Bette was NOT NOMINATED for her role opposite Leslie Howard in the John Cromwell-directed “Of Human Bondage.” When the...
  • Cogerson on Tom Skerritt MoviesHey Dan. Thanks for the comment on Mr. Tom Skerritt. I just watched him in a supporting role in Broke with Wyatt Russell and Dennis Quaid. When I looked him up on IMDb I saw he was 91. So I figured getting him an UMR page might need some urgency…lol. Seeing he is in the Top 500 is pretty impressive since his last 10 years has only produced a handful of movies. As a movie fan I always associated him with MASH, Alien and Top Gun. Good stuff as always.

  • Cogerson on Erik Estrada MoviesHey Hadden. Chips was a must watch show for me too. I appreciate you commented on my Erik Estrada page.
  • Cogerson on Erik Estrada MoviesHey Michael. Glad you were able to find out website. Kudos for spotting Erik Estrada before the nation did. I sort of have the same story with Bruce Willis. He was in my town for a show off off off off Broadway. I remembered him when it got Moonlighting. That created a lifetime fandom for Mr. Willis. Thanks for the comment.
  • Cogerson on Erik Estrada MoviesHey Janet. My wife now has the same thoughts on Mr. Estrada after meeting him. Thanks for stopping by.
  • Janet on Erik Estrada MoviesLoved him on Chips and still do. Had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Estrada last year at Comic Con. I saw in person why he is so lovable.
  • Michael on Errol Flynn MoviesOMG 2! I can not believe you have this much Errol Flynn box office information. What is the source for all of this wonderful information? I have loved Flynn since I discovered him in the early 1950s. I still remember the day he died, or at least when the days came out he died. I cried when heard Robin Hood had died. One of the greats, who I feel has been almost forgotten.
  • Michael on Gene Hackman MoviesOMG! This is an incredible breakdown of my all-time favorite actor, Mr. Gene Hackman. So much information! I am shocked this website never caught my eye. At the end of your article, you name 5 great Hackman movies. I would replace Young Frankenstein in my Top 5. I think Royal Tenenbaums or Crimson Tide would easily boot out Gene's cameo in that Mel Brooks' comedy classic.
  • Michael on Erik Estrada MoviesSaw this link on a Facebook page, so I came to this website which I had never heard of before. I "discovered" Erik from his supporting role in the 1974 disaster epic Airport 1975. After that it seemed he was on every television show I watched. Usually in one episode arcs. It was when he became on star on Chips that I finally connected a name to all those pre Chip roles. Lots of information on his movie career. I must admit I was not aware he had appeared in so many movies.
  • Hadden on Erik Estrada MoviesChips was my favorite show as a kid. He seems to be a good guy too.

I never remember death dates good, but I have seen someone they say just passed and find your page, and one has contributed something because of that 4 years ago. Yes my wife is still teaching, seems not to have the inclination to retire like her bum husband.

The research on this page was less than normal.....as it was my son-in-law's birthday last night.....and we got home late. About to do Day 3 of my NASA training. On Friday, my class is headed to Wallops Island...which is where they launch rockets that re-supply the I.S.S. Thanks for the suggestions. Hope all is going well this summer.

  • Cogerson on NASA MoviesHey Trent....glad you came back after the update. I like your Top 3 movies as well. They would probably be in my Top 3 as well....though Hidden Figures would be a strong candidate to reach the medal stand. That story took place in my backyard...added bonus....I am touring the very location of the movie's story next week. As for First Man, I like so many others thought it was ok, but not as good as I was hoping. That is cool about working at Glenn Research Center. On Monday, we were talking about all the NASA facilities spread out throughout...
  • Trent on NASA MoviesHey Cogerson. I understand. Glad to see the movies listed. I am a support contractor at NASA's Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio. I see my favorites are near the top of your rankings. My Top 3 NASA movies are: Apollo 13, The Martian and The Right Stuff. Two are of course based on true stories. Hidden Figures and the criminally neglected First Man round out my Top 5. Capricorn One and Rocketman are at the bottom of my list. Nice photos from Space Camp.
  • Cogerson on NASA MoviesHey Trent. Wow....you caught me....I am in the process of uploading my database to the internet.....so...as soon as that update is done the Mission Impossible movies will disappear and the NASA movies will appear. Thanks for the headsup.
