It is not surprising that I have never seen a Grace Moore movie because it is not only that she made so few of them according to Bruce’s charts above but also because all of them were released from 2 to 11 years before I was born and none of them ever seem to have been given reruns on TV or in movie houses over here.
What does surprise is that I have never heard her sing even though I have for years collected recordings of, and listened on radio to, the kind of classical music in which she specialised according to Bruce’s write-up above.
Indeed Grace’s name is familiar to me only because Kathryn Grayson played Grace in 1953’s So This is Love called simply The Grace Moore Story over here.
