  • Sort Jennifer Jones movies by co-stars of her movies
  • Sort Jennifer Jones movies by adjusted domestic box office grosses using current movie ticket cost (in millions)
  • Sort Jennifer Jones movies by yearly domestic box office rank (in millions) or trivia about the movie

    Hi

I completely forgot about Jennifer Jones. Growing up in Ireland, the song of Bernadette was a must see for all Catholics. It was my grandmother’s favourite movie. What I most remember about it was the character actors. Gladys Cooper, Vincent Price and Charles Bickford. Jennifer was very beautiful and sincere in the film. She had a very distinguished career, one of her best was Carrie in 1952 with Lawrence Olivier and then she turned up in Towering Inferno. The last time I really touch much notice of her was at the 1982 Oscars where she presented Best Film, She still looked dazzling.

Hey Chris. That is interesting that Song of Bernadette was a required viewing. I love Vincent Price in that one…as well as Charles Bickford. Thanks for sharing your grandmother’s favorite movie. Mine was The Wizard of Oz and The African Queen. Her entire VHS collection was those two movies….and only those two movies. Carrie was a good movie….but Larry Olive took over that movie from her. I am sure when she gave out the Oscar….I noticed her….but as a teenager I had no idea who she was back then. Thanks for commenting on our latest page.

It took me a long time to adjust to Jennifer. To me, it was her characterization of Pearl Chavez that shines.

Hey Debra….she does shine in her role as Pearl Chavez. Probably the closest Selznick ever came to duplicating the success of Scarlett O’Hara. Thanks for stopping by.

A gifted actress who had lots of drama and tragedy in her real life. I now people strongly dislike Duel In The Sun; but no me. I have always found Jones a joy to watch in that one. A sexy as hell too. Somewhat surprised she only had 23 movies. Nice job. PS Subscriber?

Hey Stein…. I noticed her personal life was filled with lots of bad stuff. We generally try to avoid the negative here….but her off screen life was a huge part of the Jennifer Jones story. I thought Duel In The Sun was pretty good….yep 23 movies is not a huge amount….but most of her movies were pretty entertaining. Sorry still no subscriber button. But I feel it is going to eventually get here. Thanks for stopping by.
