Behind the scenes at UltimateMovieRankings.com (UMR), we’re currently dealing with some unexpected database issues. While we always refer to it as UMR, the massive Access database that powers the site’s movie data has been showing signs of strain. According to WoC (Wife of Cogerson), the core problem is its sheer size.

To address this, we’re performing a much-needed update. Unfortunately, during this process, it won’t just be difficult—it will be impossible—to add any new content to the site. That means Brad Pitt’s upcoming F1 film will be the last new movie added for about 10 days… we hope!

The good news? All existing pages on the site will remain live and open for viewing and comments. Fingers crossed this update helps eliminate some of the pesky gremlins that have been giving us so many headaches.
