    1. Hey Sidney…..just added this Sam Worthington movie to the database….it has a 32.96 UMR score. It should be showing up during the next website update. One day, probably before Avatar 2 opens, I will have to knock out a Worthington page. His career has not been as stellar as many predicted when he first came onto the movie screen radar.

  1. I saw 54 including 21 of top 22. 10s and favorites: LOTR:return of the king, kill bill, POC: the curse of the the black pearl, second hand lions, big fish, master and commander. no 10s not favorites.
9 and favorite: runaway jury. 9s not favorites: monster, matrix revolutions, somethings gotta give, cold mountain, missing, state of play, the life of david gale. hidden gems: mona lisa smile, radio, confidence, love actually( all 8s), holes(a 7). great page. thanks so much for completing annual pages. now your creative genius is set free to roam. yea Gogerson. Yea UMR.

    1. Hey bob cox…..54 seen is a good total…but 21 of the Top 22 is a great total. Return of the King is one of 7 movies to have a perfect 100 UMR score. Loved Curse of the Black Pearl, Big Fish (always gets me emotionally…especially when the dad passes). Love Actually is one of my all-time favorite movies….but an 8 is still a really good score. Thanks for the kudos for finishing these yearly reviews….I have to admit…now that it is done…..I think it is pretty impressive to have these many yearly pages done. Good feedback.

  2. I’m falling behind at the UMR, too many new pages… it’s not my fault! [bursts into tears]

Okay I’ve seen 73 of the 294 films listed on the chart, less than I thought.

Looking at my files I have 91 films from 2003 in my movie collection.

    Favorites include –

    Bruce Almighty
    Core ,The
    Daredevil
    Dreamcatcher
    Final Destination 2
    Finding Nemo
    Hulk ,The
    Italian Job ,The.
    Kill Bill vol.1
    Last Samurai ,The
    League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
Lord of the Rings III -Return of the King
    Master and Commander
    Matrix Reloaded
    Matrix Revolutions
    Pirates of the Caribbean
Sinbad – Legend of the 7 Seas
Terminator 3 – Rise of the Machines
Tomb Raider 2 The Cradle of Life
    2 Fast 2 Furious
    Underworld
    X-Men 2
    zz-Japan – Battle Royale II
    zz-South Korea – Wonderful Days
    zz-Thailand – Ong Bak – Thai Warrior

Top rated films I haven’t seen include – Seabiscuit, House of Sand and Fog, A Mighty Wind and American Splendor.

My most watched films from that year? Probably – The Return of the King, Hulk, Matrix 2 & 3 and X-Men 2.

Shocked to see Lord of the Rings (only just) beaten by a cartoon at the US box office in 2003, but the dark lord Sauron and his Ring of Power rules worldwide.

Another huge movie year page Bruce. Nice work. Vote Up!

    1. Hey Steve… I have produced some UMR pages in July….almost 20 of them….including the batch of 7 yearly pages on one day. So…no worries about falling behind. Your tally count is getting lower and lower…..I thought it was going to be the opposite….higher and higher as we got to the more recent movies.

I have seen all of your favorites except for the ones at the bottom. I am right there with you on Return of the King, Underworld and Daredevil (an underrated movie). Seabiscuit is a very good movie…and I would recommend it….so many great roles in that one….The House of Sand and Fog is one of the most depressing movies ever made….wow…Jennifer Connelly could have the most depressing double feature of all time…..if you watched House of Sand and Fog and Requeim For A Dream back to back.

Yep…as popular as Return of the King was…..Finding Nemo took it down at the box office….maybe if Return of the King would have had only 5 endings versus the 10 it had…..it would have topped the missing fish…..lol. Good stuff as always.

      1. Thanks Bruce, the yearly pages are a lot longer and I want to take my time on commenting on them. I’m curious to see how my stats compare with other years. When I complete them I want to see which year had my best view tally.

        1. Hey Steve…thankfully the yearly reviews are done….now I am making sure I correct my mistakes…I have found I missed way too many movies that got at least one nomination. Take your time with the pages…they are not going anywhere. I am still shocked that totals went down as we got in the 2000s. When looking at 2019 movies…I have already reached a tally of 31 movies…as I watched Alita and Uglydolls yesterday. Good stuff as always.

    1. Hey Dan….I think you comment eventually showed up…. I will go back and delete one of the comments. 84 2003 movies seen in theaters…..a low total for you….but an incredible total for anybody that is not a movie critic…lol. Sorry you had to sit through The Cat In The Hat….that movie pretty much derailed Mike Myers live action movie career…though maybe it was the combo of The Cat and The Love Guru…lol. 239 movies seen will easily will the tally contest…..and it was not even close….you almost doubled my total. Thanks for sharing these lists…sorry once again that it took some much effort to get it on the page. Good stuff.

      1. Hey Dan…good to know The Last Samurai was your favorite for 2003….I liked the movie….but to me…..I would have really liked it if Tom had fallen in the last massive action finale…..all that death and only Tom survives.

    1. Hey Dan….sorry….I guess the length is causing the “span” robots to have a fit…I just copied it here. Sorry about that.
