Why I watched this one? Seen almost all of the Pixar movies in theaters…plus The Incredibles is one of my wife’s favorite movies.
What is this one about? Bob Parr (Mr. Incredible) is left to care for the kids while Helen (Elastigirl) is out saving the world.
My thoughts on this one? Ok….first of all….I thought this was a good movie. The wife and kids loved the movie. So Pixar can say…mission accomplished. That being said….I was not as blown away as the rest of my family was.
Some issues I had with the movie: Jack Jack is the funniest and best part of the movie….but he does the same thing over and over and over. The first time you hear a funny joke it is funny…..by the 10th time you hear the joke….it barely gets you to crack a smile. The villain compared to the first villain is pretty blah. Not even sure what the master plan was…..and seems all the stuff that happens in the movie was not necessary for that plan to work.
Some of the animation was not Pixar worthy. Mainly Violet’s face looked strange the whole movie. It might have been my theater….but at times the voices did not match the lip movement. Still….despite these issues…..I liked the movie….it just is not as awesome as the first one. Final thought: Worth checking out.
