  1. I missed 1 before 2018, brave(anime). 2 in 2018. I am 0 for 2019. I am too cheap to watch first runs. 1. Hey bob cox….thanks for the thoughts on this “decade page”. Some of the movies on this list made the UMR Top 500. I think Joker has the best chance to go the highest on our all time list. Glad you like that page ….it is a fun one for sure. Good stuff as always.

    1. Hey Dan….I am at 98….so only two behind you…seeing Joker is high on my list of movies to watch….while Frozen II will be watched…just not in a hurry to see that one. Good stuff.

  2. Interesting survey of this decade’s most successful films.

The top 100 highest rated films will no doubt look a lot different, but how often would you want to watch them? 😉

There are films missing from the chart [Bruce gasps] at first glance I noticed one of the Avengers films is not on there – Avengers Age of Ultron grossed $459m domestic and 1.4bn worldwide.

Also Aquaman is not on there. I assume there will be others. Was this done in a hurry?

I’ve seen nearly all of them. I’ll do a count later. Have to go.

    1. Hey Steve……thanks for checking out this decade review….hard to believe that we only have a handful of movies to open in this decade….only 1917 has a real chance to break this Top 100. Working on two more pages for this decade…..one that will list the Top 100 reviewed movies by critics AND audiences and the Top 100 Worldwide Box Office Movies of the decade. So far there have been 42 movies that crossed the billion mark when looking at adjusted numbers…with #43 going soon….as I am sure Rise of Skywalker will join that list in the upcoming weeks.

As for Ultron and Aquaman……they just missed the Top 100…..with Ultron coming in 102nd place….and Aquaman coming in 124th. This list took almost 9 years to build….as we have been adding movies into the database weekly since 2011. Back in our Hub Pages days our 2011 Weekly Page was one of our most popular pages. Our 2019 page was the 11th most popular page this year.

      1. Aha! I thought it was a list of the most successful films of the decade, thats why I wondered how you managed to forget Avengers-Ultron and Aquaman. So it’s a rundown of the 100 highest scoring on the UMR table. Gotcha.

Toy Story 3 number 1 eh… it’s good but there are other animated films on that chart I enjoyed more. Bohemian Rhapsody is too high up, if it wasn’t for the top 10 Rhapsody would be the no.1 movie on your UMR chart, again it was okay but hardly a timeless classic that begs to be watched over and over. Now Furious 7, ah that’s more like it… [sniggers]

Looking at the 100 there are three I haven’t seen – Frozen II, The Help and Hidden Figures

        Good stuff Bruce. Vote Up!

        1. Hey Steve…..we now have all three decade pages done….UMR, reviews and box office. Toy Story 3’s Best Picture Oscar nomination really helped it’s UMR score….not many animated movies get that honor. Bohemian Rhapsody was our statistical movie of the year last year….not many movies can top it’s awesome stats. That is a “musical” that I actually like. I have now seen 99 of these movies…as I watched Joker the other night. That only leaves Frozen II for me…..unless 1917 works it’s way onto the list. Good stuff as always.
