  1. Carol Reed, good choice, Oliver Reed’s uncle.

    I’ve seen just 6 of the 23 films on the chart, favorites are – Mutiny on the Bounty (1962), Reed starting working on Bounty but was replaced by Lewis Milestone as director. The Agony and the Ecstasy, Trapeze, Oliver and The Third Man. I’ve also seen Our Man in Havana.

    Looking at the box office – Trapeze and Bounty were major hits though Bounty, like Cleopatra, was not considered a success because of the costs and problems in making it. The Third Man was a bigger success than I thought, a real crowd pleaser in its time.
