i am currently in July 1934.
I am currently doing the box office year 1933. It takes from Jan 1933 to Dec. 1934 to complete 1 year of box office info. At the same time I am doing the year 1934 which has been a very interesting year because of the following effects took place on movies in 1934.
1. The birth of the Hays code which took affect in July 1934.
2. The churches getting together to allow only certain movies in their towns.
3. The birth of double billing and increase of in movie theaters.
4. The increase of foreign films.
5. Massive heat wave hitting the country and a lot of movie theaters without air conditioning.

Hey Dan. As always thanks for this information. My son, the one who got this page written, was looking at your comment. I had to explain the UVA Oracle list. He was shocked that Eric Roberts is number 1. Not surprised that RZA is not on the Oracle list. I suspect if he concentrated on movies he would get on the list. 9 Oscar winning co-stars is not too shabby for a rap star. I picked up his Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai today at my local library probably going to watch that one in a few minutes. Good stuff as always.
Eric Roberts was number 1 in the IMDB era, Christopher Lee went back to # 1 a couple of lists back when they went to Wikipedia. Eric is # 134 now.
