Michael Cimino became infamous for the out of control disaster known as Heaven’s Gate which has since been re-evaluated by some film buffs as a potential masterpiece.
I’ve seen 8 of the 10 films on the chart, the two I haven’t seen are The Sunchaser and To Each his own Cinema. My favorites are – Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, Year of the Dragon, The Deer Hunter, Magnum Force and Silent Running.
The Deer Hunter tops the charts, no surprises there.
