  1. I’ve seen just 4 Alice Brady films, I may have seen more, not sure.

Favorites are – In Old Chicago, The Gay Divorcee and My Man Godfrey. I’ve also seen Golddiggers of 1935.

Warbling teen idol Deanna Durbin has two huge films near the top of the box office chart, she really was popular back then eh? [Bob grins]

    Good stuff Bruce. Vote Up!

    1. Hey Steve….thanks for the visit and comment. Tally count: bob cox with a win with a tally count of 9. Flora gets the silver with 8, you get the bronze with 4…..and I bring up the end with 3. My three seen are your favorites…so I think I watched the right ones. Ms. Durbin was a much bigger star than I would have guessed….Bob really opened my eyes to that. Good stuff as always.

    1. Hey bob cox…..a tally count victory for you. I have seen 3, Flora sits at 8 and sitting alone in first place is the “other bob” with 9. Good ratings on some of her more famous movies. I have not seen 100 men and a girl…..but will see if I can track that one down. I am right there with you on Mae West. For an actress with so few movies…it seems strange that almost every single movie seems the same. Good stuff as always.

  3. I have seen 8 Alice Brady movies, all of them in the top 10.

The HIGHEST rated movie I have seen is In Old Chicago.

The highest rated movie I have NOT seen is One Hundred Men and a Girl.

The LOWEST rated movie I have seen is When Ladies Meet.

    Favourite Alice Brady Movies:

    In Old Chicago
    My Man Godfrey
    The Gay Divorcee
    Gold Diggers of 1935
    When Ladies Meet

Other Alice Brady Movies I Have Seen:

    1. Hey Flora….thanks for the tally count, visit and feedback on our Alice Brady page. Tally count: bob cox with a win with 9 movies, you are second with 8 and I trail with 3. My three are on your favorites list…and listed first…so I am thinking I have seen the right 3 Brady movies. Good stuff as always.

  4. Another short one. There are only 5 people on the 2020 Oracle of Bacon list who appeared with Alice Brady and they are;

107 MICKEY ROONEY Broadway to Hollywood (1933)

    368 CESAR ROMERO Metropolitan (1935)
512 RAY MILLAND Three Smart Girls (1936)

Alice appeared with 10 Oscar winners.

DON AMECHE In Old Chicago (1937)

JANE WYMAN My Man Godfrey (1936)
LIONEL BARRYMORE Should Ladies Behave (1933)
OLIVIA DE HAVILLAND Call It a Day (1937)
RAY MILLAND Three Smart Girls (1936)
WALTER BRENNAN Gold Diggers of 1935 (1935)
    WALTER BRENNAN Metropolitan (1935)

    1. Hey Dan….it might be short but it is still good information. The five on the first list all had very long and very productive careers…..Mickey Rooney got another movie added to his page when I did this page….seems there are many Rooney movies that I was not able to find box office totals back then…so it is always interesting to me when I uncover one of his older movies. 10 Oscar winners is pretty good. I have pages on all of them with the exception of Jane Darwell. Good stuff as always.
