  1. Bill Hader is credited by IMDB with 12 acting awards and 38 noms and his net worth is reported as $8million. On top of his filmography he has had an extensive TV career dating back to 2005 and he has released 4 music videos and 3 video games.

It seems that unusually for an actor Bill is an “intellectual” – you know the type of guy Joel thought he was, but really wasn’t – because Bill is apparently an avid reader of classical literature. For example he has reportedly read Tolstoy’s War and Peace and Anna Karenina and is familiar with the works of Fyodor Dostoevsky such as Crime and Punishment and The Brothers Karamazov, respectively made into films in 1935 starring Peter Lorre and 1958 featuring Yul Brynner.

Indeed Bill is such a uniquely talented individual that I’m surprised that Steve had never heard of him previously, or now that he has he seemingly doesn’t want to learn much more about him. Certainly this comprehensive new page packed with information that has been augmented by Dan and other regulars would be the ideal starting point for such a journey of discovery.

I have seen 3 of the movies in the above charts: Monsters University, 2009’s Night at the Museum and Men in Black 3.
    “Voted Up!”

  2. I’ve seen 1 season of Bill’s Documentary Now where they make fun of famous documentaries. Helen Mirren hosts the show. That said Bill is not on the Oracle of Bacon Top 1000 Center of the Hollywood Universe. This is who is on the list that he has appeared with. Before this Bill was not in my file.

    1. Hey Dan…..the Documentary Now series sounds very interesting. I started being a Bill Hader fan based on his television interviews…..he seems down to Earth….and is a guy that loves movies….I really like both of those things. This video shows him at the Criterion Collection….the man knows his stuff. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=348qOuXOAXo

Surprised he is not on the Top 1000. Especially with that really really long list of co-stars…7 movies with Paul Rudd…..interesting to know. 19 Oscar winning co-stars this early into his career is pretty good. The success of Barry….might generate even more movie roles for Bill Hader. Thanks for the feedback on our latest page. Good stuff.

  3. I saw 10 all in top 13. 10 and favorite: her(trouble deciding if it was about masturbation or relationship, I decided for me it was about both and I loved it). 9: star trek into darkness.
I am not into anime or seth rogen.
this guy seems smart and connected. his appearances make him a box office monster.
I just watched men in black 3. brolin was great, hader was fabulous as andy Warhol, stuhlbarg was hilarious. an 8 well worth watching, clearly not a very good movie( 9 ).

    1. Hey Bob…..thanks for comment, visit and tally count on Bill Hader. Double digits…not too bad. My tally is 37…..only Doogal has escaped me. Her was a good movie…..WoC really enjoyed that movie. Good mini-review on Men In Black 3. So I guess you did not go see The Long Shot (starring Rogen) in theaters?….lol. Good stuff as always.

  4. Ah so that’s Bill Hader. Has he top billed any movies? 😉

I’ve seen 26 of the 38 films in which Hader has made an appearance or lent his voice.

Favorites include – Tropic Thunder, Scott Pilgrim, Men in Black 3, Night at the Museum, Cloudy with a Chance, Ice Age, Monsters University and Finding Dory.

    Nice work Bruce. Vote Up!

    1. Hey Steve….your question….Who is Bill Hader…reminded me that I had put together a Hader page…and then never got around to publishing it….lol. So you have gone from…”Who is Bill Hader”…to seeing 26 of his movies….all in one day….lol. So far he has not billed top billed in movies….but he is the star of Barry….which is getting rave reviews and great ratings. I have seen all of your favorites…..Tropic Thunder would be my favorite of that bunch. Good feedback as always.
