UMR Review of Come Away (2020)
I love Michael Caine. This was the 101st Caine movie I have seen. Some of his movies are classics, but some of his movies are clunkers. This one falls into the clunker category. I am not really sure what this movie was trying to do. I do know whatever it was trying to do, it failed. The movie does look good. But this spin on Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland falls flat and it is boring.
I’m tired of Peter Pan or some variation seemingly being redone every year. We went to Pinocchio during the week and Netflix has a new version next year. Such originality in Hollywood
