Drivel part of the page: I have been spending a lot of time in dentist chairs lately. During my time in those chairs, I have been trying to identify as many dentist movies as I could think of. I had identified 22 of these movies. I had to do some research to find the rest of the movies. There are countless doctor movies out there, but not a lot of dentist movies.
How did you find out how much the shorts by the Three Stooges and W.C. Fields make?
Hey Dan……the answer to your question is an educated guess. I really wanted to include those two shorts…..so I found some sources that talked about how shorts were selected with certain movies….then I basically gave the two shorts a small percentage of the gross. One of my movie books talks about how shorts earned money for the producers…it is very confusing. In the end, I would not stand up and shout these two grosses are the gospel….lol.

Hey Flora….thanks for the thoughts on our Dentist movie page…..I have seen 47 of the movies….which is a lot more than I would have guessed. I have seen all of your favorites except for Diabolique. On your “others” list I have not seen Snow Dogs. Django Unchained is a very very violent movie…..it only makes the list because Christoph Waltz used to be a dentist before becoming a bounty hunter. I am sure it was Quentin Tarantino’s shout out to Doc Holliday…who was a dentist before becoming the legendary gunfighter he became. Good stuff as always.
