A legend has passed. Gone but will never be forgotten.
Hey Maya, I agree with 100%.
Thanks for posting these box office statistics of Doris Day movies.
These are the Doris Day films I still have not seen:
Move Over Darling
Lullaby of Broadway
With Six You Get Eggroll
Do Not Disturb
Lucky Me
Starlift
Where Were You When the Lights Went Out?
Storm Warning
Caprice
Hey Flora….thanks for checking out this Day page….looks like you are not too far away from seeing all of her movies. Good stuff.
Great stats, but no surprise. While others fade away, Doris Day fans are as avid as ever.
Hey Wendy. Doris Day fans are awesome. They have helped make our Doris Day pages even better.
The actors with Doris if one goes clockwise are
1/Cary Grant
2/James Stewart
3/Brian Keith
4/Clark Gable
5/ Rock Hudson
6/James Garner
7/Howard Keel
Hey Bob….thanks for the answers. I think the picture has most of the legends she worked with the exception of James Cagney.
HI BRUCE
I always knew who my Doris’ leading men were because I was jealous of every one of them – except Gable because he looks old enough in your photo to be her father! Indeed he WAS old enough to be her father -and in fact looked old enough to be CARY GRANT’s father in a movie.
Nice little montage of photos though, but a supplementary question for you if you can answer it – WHICH Doris/Rock movie is their photo from?
Hey Bob….she had some great leading men. I would say Gable aged well….but when compared to Grant it looked like he aged horribly. I think the Doris/Rock photo was a publicity photo. Good stuff.
You’re right that it was a publicity shot but it was one taken in 1959 in conjunction with the release of “Pillow Talk”.
Hey Paul….thanks for the information on that Hudson/Day photo….it is greatly appreciated…hope your Thanksgiving was enjoyable. Good feedback.
Who is the actor in the pic where our girl is wearing a yellow coat please?? ??
Howard Keel.
not that one Denise. I recognize Howard keel, it’s the one next to it. The man’s wearing a black n white chequered jacket. Thanks for replying tho ??
Brian Keith
Brian Keith from their With Six You Get Eggroll.
