  1. I saw Watermelon Man as a kid back in 1970.

The immortal Foreplay aka All the President’s Women, I saw at the Thalia theater, a revival house circa 1980. The Thalia changed bills every day with Friday films staying on Saturdays. Back then they would premiere oddball films for 2 days that no other cinema in the city showed. I also remember seeing The Great American Success Company from 1979 there as a premiere. That film starred Jeff Bridges.

Estelle as the others written about today never appeared on the Oracle of Bacon Top 1000. These are the actors on the 2020 list she appeared wtih.

    1. Hey Dan.
      1. Thanks for the lists on Estelle Parsons.
      2. Not surprised she is not on the Oracle 1000. I figured of the 5 new pages today, Maureen Stapleton would have had the best chance to be in the Top 1000.
      3. I have seen parts of The Watermelon Man….but not from start to finish. I would think that would be a movie that might get remade.
      4. Good information on the Thalia theater…..that had to be cool seeing unusual movies like that. We had and still have a movie theater called The Naro that did that….or at least it was still open before Co-Vid 19.
      5. A tie for the honor of most frequent Oracle co-star with 2 movies.
      6. 12 Oscar winning co-stars is on the low end.
      Good stuff as always.

    1. Hey Flora….thanks for checking out our Estelle Parsons page. I have only seen 4 of her movies. #1, #2, #4 and #5. Only missing Rachel, Rachel from her Top 5. I see that made your favorites list….it is one of the few Paul Newman projects that I have not seen. So strange seeing a Gregory Peck movie not on your favorites list. Good stuff as always.
