    1. Hey Tr87…..yep he was a true legend in television history…..and his movie career is also filled with many great accomplishments.. RIP Garry Marshall.

  1. Wow seems 2016 has been a bad year for celebrities. I would say I was not a huge fan of his movies but they also seemed to be making money at the box office. RIP G.M.

    1. Yes it has been a very bad year. There is some suggestion though that the reason we know is because they are famous.

There were always lots of people who died.

But now that the internet exists we hear about it right away.

    2. Hey Stein….without a doubt the man could make the box office registers ring. He will be missed for sure.

  2. I am happy that you had already done this page and that I had already answered it.

I am happy that he died in his sleep.

I am happy that he left a huge body of work.

I am happy that he was old, BUT:

I am very sad because I loved him.

Yes, I said that I was going to be watching Glenn Ford westerns all day.

And right now they are airing one that I love called Cowboy.

I actually saw the reference by Wife of Cogerson last night since I was on this site around 1am, but I needed to sleep, so I did not answer then.

Let me make it very clear:

There is not a SINGLE thing that Mr. Marshall wrote that is not golden.

    Rest in Peace.
And my prayers so our to Penny and his family who are the ones who are hurting the most.

  3. Despite his critics, he left an impressive body of work behind. Hopefully future generations will enjoy his brand of humor and movies.

    1. Hey Anonymous….I like your comment. I have noticed many people prior to today had some pretty “not so nice” comments about his movies. But based on the box office of his movies…..his fans far outweighed his critics.

  4. Always a favorite. Warm and funny. From Happy Days as a kid to Pretty Woman as an adult. He was always somebody that entertained me.

    1. Hey Natilyn. I was a Happy Days kid too. The power of Garry Marshall is that he entertained me….my mother and my daughter…..three generations….and I bet my grandmother probably liked The Odd Couple too. Thanks for stopping by on this sad sad day.
