    1. Hey Dan…..thanks for the lists. With her list of co-stars being so long and impressive….it seems that Hilary should be getting close to the Top 1000. I guess only having one Top 10 co-star does not help the score. Very few double movies with people…..it looks like Aaron Eckhart and Randall Batinkoff? are the only ones to make more than one movie with her.

16 Oscar winning co-stars is a great percentage of the 19 movies I listed…..sadly I think her leading lady days are over….but I can see her having some solid supporting roles in the future….and can see her adding a 3rd Oscar to her resume….which would put her in a league with some great actresses if she can ever get that 3rd Oscar.

Fun comment….thanks again for sharing this information.

  2. I always get her mixed up with Julia Roberts. Good page and on a current star. Thanks for that. Love all the changes. Enjoyed watching the attached trailers.

    1. Hey Helakoski…..I can see how you would get them mixed up when looking at their looks……but their acting styles are way different….but both are Oscar winners actresses….glad you liked our latest page….thanks for stopping by.

  3. Who would have predicted Karate Girl Hilary Swank would go on to win two Oscars? But it didn’t seem to to do her career much good apart from gaining respect from her peers. Maybe the movies she’s appeared in since Million Dollar Baby never really connected with audiences?

I’ve seen 8 of the 19 films listed. The Core was a guilty pleasure with it’s moronic premise – the Earth’s core has stopped rotating, a group of scientists and astronauts travel to the center of the Earth to try and ‘jumpstart’ it.

Looking at the chart her biggest hits were Million Dollar Baby and Insomnia, and probably her two best films too, how often does that happen?

    Good work Bruce. Vote Up.

    1. Hey Steve
      1. Thanks for checking out our Forgotten Karate Kid UMR page.
      2. Box office glory and Hilary are not close friends…..but she is bet friends with Oscar.
      3. I have seen….counting….14 of her movies for a nice percentage. So once again I top you in the tally count when the thespian is pretty modern.
      4. I saw The Core….but was not as forgiving as you. I liked Million Dollar Baby….but it is not a movie that begs to be re-watched.
      5. As for Insomnia….still not sure if I liked the movie or not….and it is now 15 years old.
      6. Those two movies are the only ones that made a decent amount of money….and yes you are correct it does not happen too often.
      Good stuff as always.

  4. 1 Unfortunately after her brilliant stint in Million Dollar Baby, Hilary went nowhere in general at the box office and her total adjusted gross of just over half a billion dollars and an average gross of around $35 million shows that whilst Sandra Bullock may have missed out on Baby, Sandra was overall by far the bigger star – Total Cogerson Gross of nearly $3.5 billion and average gross of around $102 million.

2 Hilary’s PS I Love You and New Year’s Eve did well enough worldwide if not domestically but they were away back in 2007/2011 respectively and some of her latest flicks have been abysmal commercially.

3 Of course however Hilary didn’t have that wonderful agent of Sandra’s who apparently has the knack of absolving M-s Bullock from blame for any flops that she appears in!

4 Also I have mentioned before that the beauty of this site is that stars of little box office clout but considerable talent are also profiled and Hilary is certainly one talented lady.

5 Indeed we should remind ourselves that Clint once publicly boasted that when he had control over the production of a movie the only people who would get starring roles were those who one way or another had EARNED it.

6 Naturally I am pleased that he obviously considers among the latter my own top African American Actor Morgan Freeman who got a Best Supporting Oscar for Baby and a Leading Actor Oscar nomination for the 2009 Invictus also directed by Eastwood.

    1. Hey Bob. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on Ms. Swank. I agree with you. At 43, I am thinking her leading lady days are behind her. Being a two-time Oscar winner will always give her some fame…but the average film goer will be hard pressed to name her movies. Glad you enjoy our variety of UMR subjects. And finally…..good for Clint…..good feedback as always.

    1. Hey Anonymous….glad you liked the page….I am guessing this is bob cox?….if so hope you liked your requested page.
