  1. I’ve seen quite a few of his movies – he often gave stellar performances. Your list has given me some suggestions of some movies of his to see that I didn’t know about.

    1. Thanks for the compliment Phil Plasma…. I am glad my list has given you some suggestions….since I did this page…I have been looking for #3 Strange Love of Martha Ivers and #11 Out of the Past….through comments on the page…people have convinced me that those movies are worth checking out….thanks for stopping by.

  2. I loved the Vikings. His “Father” in the movie Ernest Borgnine, mentions that his son is too vain to grow a proper viking beard.

Ulysees was awesome as was Spartucus. The man knew how to weld a sword.

    1. Hey ruffridyer….talk about another actor still going in his 90s Ernest Borgnine…who was just in the hit Red last year. I really liked The Vikings and Spartacus….but I must admit I have not seen Ulysses. Thanks for the suggestion….and thanks for the comments.

  3. Wow he is still alive that is impressive, I love his clifted chin what a classic face he has, I remember watching The Villian all the time on HBO when it first came out. As well as The Final Countdown and The Fury, never really watched any of his real old movies. Thanks for another nice article.

    1. Hey KellyE1967…that chin is very famous indeed, I remember those movies you mention being on HBO all the time too. I must have seen Final Countdown about 100 times……was never much of a fan of The Fury…..thanks for stopping by.

  4. I’ve seen a few of his movies, and I saw him present the Oscar for best Supporting Actress this year (it was hilarious) Great page as always, voted Up, Useful, and Interesting!

    1. Thanks for stopping by and checking out my Kirk Douglas page….yep he stole the Oscar show….he is one tough old man…at 74 he survived a deadly helicopter crash….then a massive stroke a few years later…..and he still is active at 98…very impressive as is his movie career.

  5. You’ll see my Movie acumen is not as respectable as it should be,but I loved Kirk in Saturn 3.;)

    1. Hey Mentalist acer…don’t worry…you are not the only person to mention Saturn 3…..I liked it years ago….it has not aged as well…..but it was made after the success of Star Wars, when sci-fi movies started coming out everywhere….I always thought the robot was very cool….thanks for stopping by.
