    1. Hey Flora.
      1. Your total of 6 puts youin second place…..behind Greg’s 7 and ahead of me and Steve’s lowly 2.
      2. I have not seen any of your favorites but i want to see all of then.
      3. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on Mitzi Gaynor.

  2. HI BRUCE

1 In her short career Mitzi mad 17 films, 16 of which you list above and the 17th [Surprise Package with Yul Brynner] you record on Brynner’s page and give it an adjusted gross of $39.4 million.

2 Mitzi appeared in 5 stand-alone movies from 1951 – 1954 which have a total adjusted domestic gross in your chart of almost $305 million [average of about just about $60 million] but otherwise South Pacific excepted, she was in supporting parts or ensemble pictures. After South Pacific in which she was 2nd billed to Latin heartthrob Rossano Brazzi] she made just 3 more movies [including Surprise Package] all of which bombed with a paltry overall adjusted gross of around $157 million in your tables [average approx. $53 million].

3 Thus Mitzi could not be said to have ever been a leading box office star in her own right but I thought her one of the sexiest ladies around in the 50s and therefore welcome this new page.

    1. Hey Bob
      1. Thanks for the stats breakdown on Mitzi Gaynor.
      2. Lots of good tidbits.
      3. Not sure why Surprise Package did not originally download with the rest of her movies….but it is now on the table.
      4. Glad you like our UMR selection of Mitzi Gaynor.
      Good stuff.

  3. Thank you. Did not seem to be like a cry baby yesterday. Her last movies were the ones I liked the most. My mom and grandmother loved Mitzi Gaynor. Her television specials were events in my house. Love the Oscar video. She is alive and well. It was worth the wait.

    1. Hey Anonymous…no problem…..and now you have Gaynor Page. Glad you and your family enjoyed her television specials. Thanks for the feedback.

  4. Out of the sixteen films listed on this page, I have seen seven of them with LES GIRLS easily being the best of the bunch. The other Mitzi Gaynor movies I have seen are THE JOKER IS WILD, SOUTH PACIFIC, THERE’S NO BUSINESS LIKE SHOW BUSINESS, THE BIRDS AND THE BEES, ANYTHING GOES, and WE’RE NOT MARRIED. Mitzi gave a good performance in LES GIRLS but the late, great Kay Kendall stole the show in that film and won a Golden Globe for her performance. LES GIRLS was one of director George Cukor best films as well in my opinion. Just my opinion but Mitzi gave pleasant and professional performances in her films. Nothing more and nothing less.

    1. Hey Greg. Your 7 is the current leader in our tally contest. Easily beating me and Steve’s lowly 2. The only one I have seen on your list is We’re Not Married. I will have to add Les Girls to my list of movies to watch. Thanks for the tidbits on Cukor and Kay Kendall. Good stuff.

  5. I was planning on doing a video on Mitzi but she has appeared in so few movies.

Of the 16 films on the chart I’ve seen just 2 – There’s No Business Like Show Business and South Pacific.

I might have seen Les Girls in the past, can’t remember, maybe The Joker is Wild too. There are many films I’ve seen back in the 70s on TV with my parents in which I’ve forgotten the titles. I should have been jotting them down in a notebook like Dan.

Another good page for movie buffs Bruce. Vote Up!

    1. Hey Steve…we are tied at two…..which might not sound too impressive but it is almost 13% of her movies. I have seen We’re Not Married and My Blue Heaven but admit I do not remember her parts in those movies.

I think I will eventually see the two you have seen. Her response has been greater than I was expecting….so a video might be popular as well. For shame on you for not writing down the movies you saw in the 1970s…..Dan and I are very disappointed in you……lol.
