Superhero and Supervillain Movie Trivia Part 2

How our questions work.  We rearranged a movie’s synopsis to include all superheroes or supervillains that appeared in that non-comic book movie.   Only movies with at least two superheroes or supervillains are among the movies in the questions.  For example:  In what movie does a malfunction in a sleeping pod on a spacecraft traveling to a distant colony planet wake up Starlord, Mystique and Goliath 90 years early? The answer is Passengers which starred, Chris Pratt who plays Starlord in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, Jennifer Lawrence who played Mystique in the X-Men movies, and Laurence Fishbourne who played Goliath in Ant-Man and the Wasp.

  1. I got broke back mountain, no country, shawshank, just mercy, black hawk down, whiplash, hit mans body guard, and American hustle

    1. Hey Scotty. Thanks for checking out our trivia page. I had a good time thinking of these questions. I like that it is a multi tiered question. I thought about doing multiple choice but that would’ve made it to easy. Always good to see son number two on ultimate movie rankings.

  2. That’s quite clever, I managed to guess a few without looking at the answers –

    4 5 6 7 9 11 12 14 17 18 19 20

I got stuck on the other 8.

Good exercise for the ‘little grey cells’ as Poirot might say. 😉

    1. Hey Steve. Thanks for taking my little quiz. My favorite question is number six. Glad to see that you got that one right. My two older sons both failed on that question, maybe us older people are the only ones I can answer that question. 12 out of 20 not bad.Already thinking of another set. With the popularity of the superhero movies there are lots of options out there.

FYI. Wow the coronavirus pandemic has created more traffic to the website, the fact that movies aren’t being played in theaters like before has hurt some of our pages. The best example would be our marvel versus DC page which is one of our top three all-time pages. In a normal year at this point they’ve been three or four of those movies playing in theaters. This year there hasn’t been a single superhero movie in theaters. That has caused that popular page to not even be in the top 10 in 2020.

    1. Hey Bryan. Thanks for taking our little quiz, 14 out of 20 is not bad better than Scotty. Disappointed you did not get number six that was my favorite question, I feel I have not read you properly if you did not get that question right. Thanks for the visit and the comment.

  3. With the forecast being a few weeks before the database is back and working…I figure I needed to create some new material that did not use the database….so part two of these series of trivia questions. I had fun thinking of these movies….in the end…if I had more time…I would have made them all Oscar winning movies…still…there are more than half that got at least one nomination.
