UMR The Outpost Movie Review

I liked this movie. I liked it a lot…..but maybe I was expecting the movie to be on the same level as Black Hawk Down. The final hour battle scene is very very impressive. At times on the same level as 1917 with the very long uncut scenes that happen in massive action scenes. I liked Orlando Bloom in the first quarter of the movie, but his role is very secondary. Scott Eastwood gives the best performance of his career.

My biggest concern is feeling that I did not get to know the different soldiers very well. Maybe it will take repeat viewings to get to know the different soldiers in the movie. My lack of knowing them made it less emotional when they were in harm’s way, got shot, or sadly got killed. Final thought: Despite my concerns, this is good movie, and one that should be watched.   4.0 Stars out of 5.0 Stars.
