  1. I saw 8 including 5 of top 7. ten and favorite pulp fiction. 9 and favorite Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are dead. 9s not favorites: reservoir dogs, four rooms(hidden gem), the legend of 1900(hidden gem): did not like rob roy.a 4/10. I loved the first 2 seasons of lie to me on television. excellent actor.

    1. Hey bob cox. Thanks for the feedback on our Tim Roth page. I like your ratings….though I liked Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, many of the jokes from that one flew right over my head. We differ on Four Rooms and Reservoir Dogs…to me Dogs is the hidden gem. Wow surprised you did not like Rob Roy. Roth is excellent in that one. Another shout to Lie To Me….maybe I should check out a few of those episodes. Good stuff as always.

  2. Happy Labor day or surviving labor day. Vincent and Theo with Tim is one of my wife’s favorite films. Tim Roth is # 269 on the 2020 Oracle of Bacon list. These are the other actors on the list he has appeared with.

    1. Hey Dan
      1. As always thanks for putting this together.
      2. I hope your Labor Day was better than mine….here Labor Day was a frantic day of getting ready for the first day of school. I am sure your wife went through the same thing.
      3. Interesting to know that Vincent and Theo is one of your wife’s favorite movies…it is one of the few Robert Altman directed movies that I have not seen. I will have to track it down and watch it.
      4. Roth’s ranking of 269 is pretty solid. I was actually surprised his UMR page did not have a lot more movies…I would have guessed in the 50s for sure…so high 30s was surprising.
      5. Wow….many many people tied with 2 movies with Roth when looking at the Oracle co-star list.
      6. Second list…26 Oscar winning co-stars is lower than I would have expected.
      Good information as always.

  3. I’ve seen 7 Tim Roth movies, favorites are – Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction. Incredible Hulk and Planet of the Apes.

I’ve also seen – Selma & Louise, The Loveable Eight and The Cook, The Thief, The Tailor, The Soldier, His Wife and Her Lover’s Pet Airedale.

I’ve somehow missed Tim’s villainous turn in Rob Roy which earned him his only Oscar nomination thus far.

He was excellent as an evil chimpanzee in Planet of the Apes, the best part of the film.

According to IMDB – ‘British actor Tim Roth found it difficult working with Charlton Heston on the remake of Planet Of The Apes – because of their disagreements on gun laws. Roth, who is anti-gun, is strongly opposed to the legendary screen star’s stance in their favor – which made it difficult when the pair had to work together in the movie.’

    Good stuff Bruce. Vote Up!

    1. Hey Steve…thanks for checking out our Tim Roth page. Tally counts: 20 for me, 7 for you and 4 for Bob. I have seen all of your favorites….his QT movies are on my list of favorite movies as well. II have seen all four of the other ones you have seen. I was really enjoying The Loveable Eight but then they got rid of the best character in the movie half way through and the movie quickly spun out of control…at least in my mind. As for Rob Roy…I would highly recommend seeing that one….his villain is one of the best villains in any movie. Hmmmmm…interesting…I did not remember that Roth and Heston appeared in Apes together…I will have to rewatch that one….it has been ages since I last saw it. Good stuff as always.

  4. I have seen Tim in just 4 movies: Pulp Fiction; Hulk; Reservoir Dogs; and the one that I enjoyed the most Arbitrage. However I have seen a lot of him on television and I especially liked his two TV series Lie to Me [2009-2011] and Tin Star [2017-2020].

IMDB credits Tim with 19 acting awards and 25 noms including a USA People’s Choice award for the aforementioned TV series Lie to Me. He has a reported current net worth of $7 million.

He keeps busy and has in the pipeline 4 movie productions: 1 completed/2 at post-production stage/and one at pre-production stage. He is the 2nd billed leading man in two of those each time to a female and is down the supporting cast in the other 2.

    1. Hey Bob…thanks for the thoughts on Tim Roth. I have seen 20 of the 36 movies listed. Good to see you have seen in my opinion the best two Tarantino movies. I liked Arbitrage as well. I have not seen a single episode of either of his television series. I had heard of Lie To Me…but Tin Star is unknown to me. Good information on his future projects. Things are so busy these days, I did not realize I had forgotten to update the UMR co-star links…..but that will be fixed soon.
