Ward Bond (1903-1960) was an American supporting actor.  Bond appeared in more than 200 films. His acting career spanned 4 decades. His IMDb page shows 276 acting credits from 1928 to 1961.  This page will rank Ward Bond movies from Best to Worst in six different sortable columns of information.  To do well in our overall rankings a movie has to do well at the box office, get good reviews by critics, be liked by audiences, and get some award recognition.

Drivel Part of the Page:  We were able to find box office grosses on almost 130 of his movies.  That actually knocks Samuel L. Jackson off the top spot when looking at most movies for a particular actor or actress.

Ward appeared in 33 films with Eddy Chandler, 31 with Lee Phelps, 30 with Harry Strang, 27 with Jack Pennick and 27 with Jack Sullivan , 24 with Irving Bacon and Frank O’Connor and 23 with Harry Tenbrook. Then comes John Wayne.

  3. Whoa Mr. Bond, over a hundred films, many of them top classics, I’m impressed.

I’ve seen 42 of the 127 films on the chart, probably more if I could remember them.
Lots of favorites including – Gone With the Wind, The Seachers, The Quiet Man, It’s a Wonderful Life, It Happened One Night, Maltese Falcon, Rio Bravo, My Darling Clementine, Fort Apache, Mister Roberts, Bringing Up Baby and Dodge City.

Gone With the Wind tops the box office and UMR charts, and It’s a Wonderful Life no.1 in the critics chart, a lot of strong contenders for the top spot on there.

    Good work Bruce. Vote Up!
