  1. I didn’t even know Kurt Russell had an actor son named Wyatt, this is all new to me!

Does he look like Kurt? Let’s have a look… hmmm not really, and he doesn’t look like Goldie Hawn either…

I’ve seen 4 of the 15 films on the chart – Soldier, Cowboys & Aliens, Escape from LA and 22 Jump Street. Overlord looks interesting, but I’ll wait for the blu-ray.

Looking at Bob’s post, Wyatt is only a supporting actor. I’m wondering if this page was a request from one of his biggest fans? Not sure why he merits a UMR page.

    1. HI STEVE

As you may have gathered from my post I agree with The Work Horse giving Wyatt a new page because as I have said he is young at 32 and has all the time in the world to forge a good career so I think he should be given maximum encouragement and support by sites like this, and of course Cogerson has always reached out to thespians across the board and refused to profile just the the lauded “great and the good” of the movie world -even The Donald got his place in the movie sun on Cogerson!

Anyway even if you disagree you should still cut WH a little slack because you must remember the doesn’t have The Master around these days to guide him and he must feel a bit like those runners in Forrest Gump who didn’t know where to turn or what to do when Forrest stopped leading them.! You can surely remember them standing huddled together in the middle of the road and asking in bewilderment “What do we do now?.”

      1. .Hey Bob….I think his career is getting off to a great start. He only recently tried to give acting a chance. From supporting roles to now almost leading roles….he is getting more known….and now he has an UMR page….so he is well on his way….lol. 4 million already in net worth? That is pretty good….I know he has a television show…maybe that is helping his net worth. Funny line about Forest Gump. I feel that way sometimes….especially since all of my favorite movie teachers are passing away…..Joel, Roger Ebert and now William Goldman. Thanks for backing me up on Wyatt Russell having an UMR page. It is appreciated.

    2. Hey Steve. I kept seeing Wyatt on lots of Overlord promo shows…..and since (1) since he is Kurt’s son..and (2) I have liked some of his performances…I figured it was a good time to do a Wyatt page. So “biggest fan” might be me. I first noticed him when he played a young Kurt in Soldier.

He is named after Wyatt Earp….who we know Kurt played in Tombstone…..that has to be better than being named Snake, Elvis or McCready….other famous Kurt roles.

I have seen 11 of Wyatt’s movies….number 12 will happen tomorrow afternoon…as I am scheduled to see Overlord tomorrow. I really liked him in Table 19 (complete with an Overboard jump off a boat ending), Everybody Wants Some!!, Goon 2 (he is hilarious as a crazed hockey star), 22 Jump Street (he and Channing had a good chemistry) and Cold In July (he does crazed evil well). Hopefully Overlord will open some more doors for him….still….from playing professional hockey to getting into acting late….he is off to a good start. Good feedback.

  2. HI BRUCE

Your new Wyatt Russell page intrigued me so I checked out his detailed filmography and it would seem that all his roles have been supporting ones and the highest he has ever been in a cast is second lead on 3 occasions and indeed prior to 2016 he was always well down the cast lists.

He has a 2019 post-production in the pipeline [The Woman in the Window] but it appears that Amy Adams is the star of that one and Wyatt is once more 2nd or even 3rd lead. However as he is only 32 there is plenty of time left for him to build up a stronger filmography if he has the talent of his parents. My wife’s first name is Jesse and as I’ve told you she has often been referred to as Jesse James. I wonder what nickname Wyatt Russell gets at times!

For now he has only 2 Cogerson 100 million barrier crashers in your chart above and his 13 other flicks have a total adjusted domestic gross of $185 million [average $14.2 million] the lowest box office totals that I personally have calculated on your site to date. His current personal net worth is said to be $4 million dollars compared with a combined net worth of $168 million enjoyed by Pop Kurt (70 Mil) Mom Goldie (60 mil) and half-sister Kate Hudson (38 million) All in all therefore that is a family that is sure not going to go on the breadline!

I welcome this new page in which you reach down to the offspring of great stars [again demonstrating the all-inclusive nature of your site] and I look forward to your Patrick Wayne page, that great “chip of the old block” being credited with 41 movies by Wikipedia! Meanwhile Wyatt is “Voted Up!”

  3. Our last page we wrote last week. Very late arrival will try to catch up on comments tomorrow. 1500 plus miles driven in three days….with work in a few hours…. I admit I am wiped out.

    1. Hey Hst1976….thanks for stopping by and commenting. Glad you enjoyed Overlord…..I am planning on seeing that after school ends on Wednesday. Half day of school and an afternoon movie…….sounds like a good day.

    1. Hey Thomas R. I agree….he looks just like his dad. Maybe not as close as Scott Eastwood to Clint Eastwood….but pretty darn close.
