  1. Hi Mr movies, well Brad seems to be getting a cool reception and that sums up my reaction to him. That Ben’ button movie is one of the most pathetic movies ever made, i was bored —less from beginning to two thirds through when i switched it off. I can’t believe that it got nominated for an oscar. Legends of the fall annoyed the crapola out of me too, just miles too smultchy for my liking. I thought Babel was pretty good, fight club too. I think Oceans 11,12 and thirteen, and troy were better suited to Brad, as he’s no Marlon Brando. He has done well in a few movies like the devil’s own, seven years in Tibet, a river runs through it, twelve monkeys and of course his brilliant cameo in Thelma and Louise. I didn’t like the outlaw Jessie James but i suspect that the director was more to blame than Brad. He’s a good actor, but not a great one. Cheers though.

    1. I appreciate the comments attempted humour…it sounds like Pitt runs 50/50 with you….50% good movies and 50% horrible movies. I liked “Ben Buttons” much more than I thought I would….and 12 Monkeys is a classic. I agree with your statement….”He is a good actor not a great actor. Thanks for stopping by.

  2. Interesting page Cogerson. I’ve never really counted Brad Pitt as one of my favorite actors, but he has been in some really good movies–A River Runs Through It, Inglourious Basterds, Ocean’s 11, Thelma and Louise for example. I thought his role in Burn After Reading was hilarious, and I’m looking forward to seeing The Tree of Life when it comes out on DVD. Maybe it’s just because I don’t really care for Angelina Jolie that I’m not head over heels crazy about him, even if he’s a decent actor.

    1. Hey Painted Seahorse…..well I think he is becoming a better actor as he is getting older….The Tree of Life looks like it could be absolutely fascination or a complete bore…..but I will be checking that one out as soon as it hits DVD land. I think all the publicity he gets on a regular basis people get a little tired of him…but he keeps producing quality movie after quality movie.

  3. Well, Cogerson, since you shared this today, I’ll comment even though I’m not a fan.

I have seen three of his movies: Thelma and Louise, A River Runs Through It, and Burn After Reading. None of these I watched because I was interested in Pitt.

One of his films is on my to be seen list, however: Inglorious Bastards.

    1. Hey Flora thanks for checking out my ignored Brad Pitt movie page….I got a comment on the Pitt page yesterday from Sunshine625….I realized not only did Brad Pitt have a movie out this weekend….but I completely ignored his last release …The Tree of Life…so this morning I woke up determined to give Brad some attention.

He has some good movies….my favorite of his is Twelve Monkeys…I think it is one of the best science fiction movies out there….or maybe it is about a guy with some serious issues…of the ones you have seen….I have yet to see A River Runs Through It….but I always wanted to…..since a read the novel many moons ago…I appreciate you stopping by.

  4. Not really a fan of Mr Jolie (I mean Pitt). Don’t understand the big deal with him. He was alright in the Oceans movies but the other actors really carried the flicks. Fantastic page cogerson!!!

    1. Hey Sunshine….wow this is one of my oldest hubs….and one I have paid very little attention to….he actually had a movie called Tree of Life open during the summer…and this weekend he has another one called Moneyball….time to do a facelift and update. As for his career…he is still going strong as he approaches the big 50. Sorry he is not one of your favorites…but I greatly appreciate the support of reading my page.

  5. I like Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Although it’s a rehash, they made it as if they’re the original actors on the film.

    1. Travel_man….I think in time we will only remember the movie as….the one were they meet and broke up Pitts marriage to Jennifer Aniston
