  1. Hello Bruce,
Thanks for this page consacrated to french star. Yes, Bardot was a very, very big star in France, of course, but everywhere else too.
It’s pretty cool you used the site of my friend, Boxoffice Story as source for french BO.
A good surprise and, as always, good job.

P.S : I have less and less time to write a message, but I continue to follow your publications. I liked Lew Ayres and Trevor Howard a lot

    1. Hey Laurent. When it came time to do her page, I had to go to the drawing board and come up with different ideas. I originally decided to do a Steve urging of the page and only list the review rating percentage. However as I was starting to do that I remembered your friends website. A quick trip over there showed me, that they had the box office grosses on all of her movies. Granite those groceries were from France, but they seem much more relevant than listing the small grosses her movies earned over here.

I completely understand how busy things are, I experience that same thing all the time. Glad you liked some of our newest pages. And finally I actually have a email exchange with the box office story game, and I threw out your name. Stay safe and healthy, good to hear from you

  2. While I see lot’s of French movies, I’ve only seen two Brigitte Bardot films on this list, Contempt and Shalako (where the matching of Bardot and Sean Connery was supposed to be electrifying but was not). I was never that much into BB. Her overt sex appeal was a bit over-the-top for me. As far as French actresses go, I much prefer her contemporary Catherine Deneuve, who also made better movies. Still, great work on assembling this box office, movie ratings and interesting facts!

    1. Hey PhilHoF17…..thanks for the feedback on our Brigitte Bardot page. Your tally of 2 has me beat….but that is it in our tally contest. So from 2nd place to 2nd to last in one day….lol. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on BB and Catherine Deneuve. Deneuve will be having an UMR page in the near future. Thanks for the kind words and the visit.
