Need to know which Bruce Willis movie got the best reviews from critics and audiences? Well you have come to the right place.

I have followed Bruce Willis’ career since he hit the big time with his star making role as David Addison on Moonlighting. I still think the Moonlighting 3 episode story arc with Mark Harmon,was some the best television I have ever seen and the pinnacle of that series.  Since Moonlighting, Bruce Willis has had a very busy career, making over 60 movies over the last 27 years. It has been a roller coaster ride…the highs….. movies like Pulp Fiction, most of the Die Hards, and The Sixth Sense…..the lows….movies like The Whole Ten Yards, Hudson Hawk, Bonfire of the Vanities and NorthHis IMDb page shows 145 acting credits since 1980.  In the table below, Ultimate Movie Rankings ranks movies in 6 different sortable columns.

  1. You know Bruce, I’ve never been a huge Bruce Willis fan, but I’ve always loved 12 monkeys and pulp fiction. I also want to see Looper. It looks great and Joseph Gordon Levitt is one of my favorites. Thanks for all the work you do putting this articles together.

    1. Hey PDX…..good to hear from you again….I think if you liked 12 Monkeys you will also like Looper…..it is Bruce’s best movie in many moons. Joseph Gordon-Levitt earned lots of respect from me after seeing the movie….as he finally got rid of the 3rd rock from the sun ghost I was always saw when he appeared in movie. Thanks for the comment, the visit and the compliment.

  2. Hi Cogerson;

    I must admit that although I like Bruce Willis as an actor, I’ve never really taken to many of the films he’s made – even those considered great movies by the majority. ‘Pulp Fiction’, for example, does nothing for me – I think it’s all that jumping forward and backward in time which confuses me! I also didn’t like ‘Fifth Element’ or ‘The Sixth Sense’. As for ‘Armageddon’ – for me that suffers badly by comparison with ‘Deep Impact’.

    I quite like the comedy of ‘Death becomes her’, but of course for me the four highlights of his career are the four ‘Die Hard’ movies. I like them all and can (and have) watched them, many times over. He created a great action hero character as John McLane in those movies with some nice one-liners in a series of witty scripts.

    As usual a quality page detailing his career Cogerson. It was predictable that ‘Pulp Fiction’ would be Number One, but interesting to see all the other rankings.

    1. Hey Alun….always good to hear from you. Interesting that you did not like some of his classics like The Sixth Sense and Pulp Fiction…but I respect your opinion. Glad to see you mention Death Becomes Her…as that is one of my favorites as well….I thought Bruce was excellent in that movie …..good points on the Die Hard films….and part 5 is coming this Valentine’s Day…it is the perfect Valentine’s Day movie…lol.

      I just saw Looper twice over the weekend….and I can highly recommend that movie…it is his best movie in many years….it reminded me of Harrison Ford’s role in The Fugitive….many of his scenes it is just Bruce trying to work his way through the movie.

      Thanks for the votes up and the comment…both are greatly appreciated.

  3. I am a big Bruce Willis fan and I like most all his movies. I didn’t know Pulp Fiction went to #1 either. I really like The Sixth Sense and Die Hard, but several more also. I like the way you used the tables to show the information. I have never used them in a movie page. Up and awesome.

    1. Hey Pamela99…..I am right there with you about being a Bruce Willis fan….this was the very first page I ever wrote…granted it looks nothing like the original page …as it has had many remodels. I love the tables here on HubPages….I have looked many places but there tables are easily the best out there. I appreciate the comment

  4. Bruce Willis is one of my favorite actors. Die Hard is one of my favorite films of his. I think his newer one Looper is going to be a good one too

    1. Hey Fullerman5000….I am right there with you. I have watched his career every since I saw the broadcast premiere of Moonlighting. I have seen some pretty bad movies of his….but he makes up for it with some classic movies….I also have high hopes for Looper…..thanks for the visit and comment.

    1. Hey bumblehub….thanks for the visit….I am sure as a Die Hard fan you are glad to see those 4 movies all being in his Top Ten….I am sure Die Hard 5 will bump 12 Monkeys out of that 10th spot as well.
