  1. I only saw 31. two from my all time favorites, neither one great. get shorty and the big fish. DeVito makes me laugh. great television. I requested this to compare with morgan freeman for all time supporting actor. domestic box office comparison goes to morgan 5.6 bil to 4.8 bil for devito. morgan may be ineligible due to 3 best actor Oscar nominations. who knew? alas, now I get to sign up for Netflix again since dan watches its always sunny in Philadelphia. Christopher Lloyd and DeVito nail it in taxi. the only DeVito movie I saw that I didn’t enjoy was weiner dog. the hidden gem is goin south with jack Nicholson, mary steenburgen, Christopher Lloyd and john belushi . wow, one day service on requests. LOL : ^ )

    1. Hey bob cox. 31 is almost half of his movies. Good breakdown on Freeman vs DeVito. I agree with you on Goin’ South……it is almost a forgotten Nicholson movie. I had 38 of his movies already assigned to him….so he quickly moved up the request list. Glad you enjoyed your requested page…thanks for the feedback.

  2. I have seen 7 seasons of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, the first 7 and Danny joined the cast in season 2. I have seasons 8 to 10 in the wings yet I have never seen Taxi. Danny was # 162 on the 2016 Oracle of Bacon Top 1000 Center of the Hollywood Universe list (he has dropped to 177 since). These are the actors on the 16 list who have appeared in a film with him;

    1. I rammed the lists through without separating some words because twice the page went down when they were sent and the third time it just flipped to something about 100 great romantic novels!!

      1. thanks dan, is this the longest list you have done for UMR? I am amazed at devitos connectedness. an industry giant in a miniscule package.

      2. Hey Dan….sorry about those issues…thanks for overcoming those obstacles to get the information out there.

    2. Hey Dan
      1. Thanks for these massive lists.
      2. Sorry you had issues getting them on the page.
      3. SoC2 (second son of cogerson) loves Always Sunny in Philadelphia…..I have seen one episode…..and it was entertaining.
      4. Taxi was a funny show…now that one I saw many episodes of…classic tv.
      5. As for the list….goodness this is a ton of information.
      6. 9 Tracey Walter movies? Would have never guessed that.
      7. 50 Oscar winners is pretty impressive…but Caine still has a little wiggle room.
      Great feedback as always.

  3. I have seen 9 Danny DeVito movies.

    My favourites are
    LA Confidential
    Romancing the Stone
    Other People’s Money

The others I have seen are:
    Terms of Endearment
    Mars Attacks
    The War of the Roses
    Throw Mama From the Train
    Big Fish
    Man on the Moon

    1. Hey Flora….thanks for checking out one of our new actors…..9 is more than I would have guessed for you….so congrats there. Hmmmmm….trying to figure out why you would have watched Other People’s Money…..still thinking….I will figure it out soon….lol.

I love Big Fish. Gotta admit I think about my dad when watching that movie….and even admit…to tearing up at the end of the movie…probably Tim Burton’s most personal movie. LA Confidential is a very good movie too. Thanks for sharing your movie thoughts on Mr. Danny DeVito.

  4. Luv Danny. Romancing the Stone, Jewel of the Nile, Terms of Endearment and Head Office are my favourites.

    1. Hey Cyndi……thanks for checking out our Danny DeVito page. I really enjoyed Terms of Endearment…and Head Office is an underrated comedy for sure.

  5. Danny DeVito, good actor and director.

I’ve seen 23 of the 64 films on the chart. Favorites include – Batman Returns (excellent as the Penguin), Romancing the Stone, Jewel of the Nile, LA Confidential, Get Shorty, Mars Attacks, Hercules and One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest.

I didn’t know he was one of the producers on Pulp Fiction. I knew DeVito and Michael Douglas were old friends, 5 films together, not bad.

I remember he got a bit miffed when they only showed the top half of his face on the cover of Premiere magazine when he was posing with Arnold for Twins in 1988, it was supposed to be a joke but he didn’t see the funny side of it. For those curious the picture is available on google images.

Good stuff as always Bruce. Vote Up!

    1. Hey Steve
      1. Thanks for checking out my latest page.
      2. I have seen 39 of his movies….shocked that I have almost seen 40 Danny DeVito movies.
      3. Of your favorites….give me One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, LA Confidential and Get Shorty.
      4. It is amazing to watch One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest…..DeVito and Christopher Lloyd jump off the screen now……it is amazing how the brain views the movie over the years…as supporting characters you do not really notice the first time….are spotted in every scene now.
      5. Yep….he helped get Pulp Fiction made…..his only Oscar nomination is for producing Erin Brockovich.
      6. Another interesting Douglas combination is the fact that Kirk….directed DeVito in Scalawag…..which was one of the first movies DeVito appeared in.
      7. I remember that Premiere magazine cover…..I miss reading my Premiere magazine…..that used to be one of the main sources of movie information for me.
      Good stuff as always.
