The movie uses 2 songs by the 60’s group Cream in it. Those songs are Sunshine of Your Love and White Room. Ginger Baker the drummer in the group passed away yesterday.

Thanks for the news that Ginger Baker died. Mom is a fan of Cream and had told me that he was ill.

Hey Flora….I feel sorry for Ginger Baker’s fans (especially MoF.Mother of Flora), and his family. Rest in Peace Ginger Baker.

In a sense I grew up with Ginger. My brothers were big Cream fans when the former and I all lived at home and they sucked me into the “admiration society”.

One of my brothers went to Queens University in Belfast and the group performed a gig there once for the students. Ginger and the boys arrived stalked by young women throwing themselves [and other things!] at the group.

Towards the end of the gig my brother saw Ginger fall off the stage intoxicated and as he tumbled onto the floor a half-full small whiskey bottle fell out of his pocket.

In short not the clean cut sort of guy that Joel would have drooled over: more a soulmate of Burton, Ollie Reed, Lee Marvin et al. It is amazing Ginger lived to 80. Celebrity net worth records his net worth at time of death as $2 million.

Sad news indeed is his death to me for old time’s sake. My brothers and I especially loved this-

“I can walk down the street, there’s no one there
Though the pavements are one huge crowd.
I can drive down the road, my eyes don’t see,
Though my mind wants to cry out loud.
I feel free, I feel free, I feel free. ”
[Fresh Cream album 1966 – I think the group also had a hit single with it back then]]

Hey Bob. Thanks for sharing this information. I am so clueless….I thought Ginger was a woman. Good music lyrics that you shared. My older brother enjoyed there music a lot…I remember him playing an 8 track of theirs pretty often. Sounds like he lead a rocker life for sure. Good stuff as always. RIP Ginger Baker.

Hey Dan….sorry to hear the news of Ginger Baker’s passing. Interesting that Joker has two of Cream’s songs in the movie. Thanks for sharing this information.

This trailer blew me away. Can’t wait for October. Looks like some major changes have occurred on the website since my last visit.

Hey SteinHoF16…..seems that this trailer has no middle ground….either you love it or you are not impressed. I would think that might hurt it’s chances to be a massive blockbuster. Anytime, a movie is using King of Comedy as a major influence…might be concerned about box office returns. Good to hear from you.

The first time I saw this trailer I was not too impressed….but a second and third viewing have given me a slightly more favorable opinion. Either way…..this is going to be a very, very, very dark movie.
