Keira Knightley in 2014's The Imitation Game (2014)
Keira Knightley in 2014’s The Imitation Game (2014)

Want to know the best Keira Knightley movies?  How about the worst Keira Knightley movies?  Curious about Keira Knightley box office grosses or which Keira Knightley movie picked up the most Oscar® nominations? Need to know which Keira Knightley movie got the best reviews from critics and audiences? Well, you have come to the right place….because we have all of that information.

Keira Knightley (1985-) is an English two-time Oscar® nominated actress. Knightley appeared in a supporting role in 1999’s Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.  She gained widespread recognition in 2002 after co-starring in the film Bend It Like Beckham and achieved international fame in 2003 after appearing as Elizabeth Swann in the Pirates of the Caribbean film series.  Her IMDb page shows over 55 acting credits since 1993. This page will rank Keira Knightley movies from Best to Worst in six different sortable columns of information. Television shows and movies that were not released in North American theaters were not included in the rankings.  To do well in our overall rankings a movie has to do well at the box office, get good reviews by critics, be liked by audiences, and get some award recognition.

Drivel part of the page:  So how did we end up writing a page on Keira Knightley?  Two main reasons.  One of my kids told me that almost all of my most recent pages fell in the classic movie category. They also said that it was time to do a modern-day star-like Keira Knightley.  Secondly, Steve Lensman was telling me that his Keira Knightey You Tube Video was one of his most popular videos.  So we figured we would try and get on the popular Keira Knightley bandwagon and give her a UMR Movie Page.

Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightey made 3 P.O.T.C. movies together

Keira Knightley Movies Can Be Ranked 6 Ways In This Table

The really cool thing about this table is that it is “user-sortable”. Rank the movies anyway you want.

  • Sort Keira Knightley movies by co-stars of her movies
  • Sort Keira Knightley movies by adjusted domestic box office grosses using current movie ticket cost (in millions)
  • Sort Keira Knightley movies by adjusted worldwide box office grosses using current movie ticket cost (in millions)
  • Sort Keira Knightley movies by how they were received by critics and audiences.  60% rating or higher should indicate a good movie.
  • Sort by how many Oscar® nominations and how many Oscar® wins each Keira Knightley movie received.
  • Sort Keira Knightley movies by Ultimate Movie Ranking (UMR) Score.  UMR Score puts box office, reviews and awards into a mathematical equation and gives each movie a score.

Added Steve’s Keira Knightly YouTube Video To This Page.

I see you are returning to the Knightley well…I hope this one is as successful as your first Knightley video. Overall, I have seen 29 of the 35 movies listed here….not a bad percentage at all. Favorites would include #3 POTC Black Pearl…I re-watch this one pretty regularly…the sequels are fun but bloated. #10 Love Actually….another all-time favorite. #22 King Arthur…that one is sitting on my que of movies to re-watch….like it a lot. and #15 Never Let Me Go….well done…but depressing as hell. I should also note #2 The Imitation Game is one of WoC’s favorite movies. Voted up and shared.

Hi Bruce, my Keira Knightley box office video was quite popular considering it only listed 10 films but it wasn’t long before it was out of date.

Your tally 29 out of 35 films listed on the video, mine 13. My favorites include – the Pirates of the Caribbean series, King Arthur and The Phantom Menace.

Thanks for the comment, vote and share, much appreciated.

GENERAL: Not long-ago Steve was profiling a run of buxom female bombshells but now he seems to prefer these exceedingly trim women who like Maris Crane in the TV sitcom Frasier good never be kept in jail because they were so thin that they could easily slip through the bars! All that’s neither here or there for the recent run of videos have been very enjoyable and for me Keira’s is worth 98.5%

2/On top of her big screen career she is credited with 11 television productions; 3 theatrical plays; one radio program; a Pirates of Caribbean video game which she narrated; 3 albums; and a music video

3/IMDB credits her with 28 acting awards and 100 nominations and she has a reported net worth of $60 million.

4/In the pipeline for her is a big-screen comedy called Silent Night.

Hi Bob, thanks for the review, generous rating, info and trivia, much appreciated

Glad you liked the posters and stills.

Keira Knightley mentioned that she may been anorexic without realising it, but not all of the young actresses in these videos have been thin, Scarlett Johansson, Kirsten Dunst were curvy and bosomy, Jessica Biel too.

Keira and Kristen Stewart are near flat-chested, they would not have passed an audition in golden age Hollywood, being pretty wasn’t enough.

For the poster to King Arthur Keira’s breasts were digitally enhanced to make them look a bit bigger, Keira had a good laugh about it on a chat show.

One film scored 10 out of 10 from my sources – Atonement. There are no 9s, several scored 8 including – Pride & Prejudice, Pirates of the Caribbean and Bend it Like Beckham.

Tops at IMDB are Pirates and The Imitation Game, no.1 at RT is The Imitation Game.

      “I’ve always been quite tomboyish.”

“I love working in Britain because it is my home and it means I can be with my friends and family and work at the same time. If you are working in Britain, a lot of the time you are doing much smaller budget. I like doing a mixture of both. Early on in my career I did some enormously huge-budget films, and to be able to switch it up a bit and do small-budget ones is great as well.”

        HI STEVE

Thanks for the feedback and the additional information about the physical attributes of the actresses whom you have been profiling lately.

I was going to make a crack about how Keira would have been a good leading lady for Laddie but I find that despite her looking flimsy on screen she is actually 5ft 7ins which is reasonably tall for an actress.

For example The Thin Woman and my Joan were 5ft 6 and 5ft 3 respectively. Sophia Loren towers above them all at 5ft 9 – and ironically Ladd did manage to secure her as his leading lady in 1957’s Boy on a Dolphin. Anyway take care.
