Great page, great actor. I still have to watch Polar and Arctic, I have about 15 minutes left, I have no idea how it ends, I was on a plane while watching.

    Seen: 6/29 or 21%
Favorite Top 10: Has to be Bond, great villain, great movie to restart the series!
UMR Snub (Too High/Too Low): Clash of the Titans???? Why o’ Why is this movie in the Top 4?
Guilty Pleasure: Well, I wish I have seen more of his movies to have a better stance, however, I will say Men and Chicken, even though I have not seen it, this movie has been described to me and it sounds amazing.

Hey BryRog57…awesome to see you back and commenting on UMR…..I guess it is because of the interview request….we will take it no matter for the reason…lol. Which movie were you watching on the plane? Polar or Arctic? Arctic also comes by Polar….so there are two movies. In Arctic he survives a plane crash…but he is stuck in the Arctic, in Polar he is a hitman who is forced to return….and all hell breaks lose. Tally count. Cogerson 15, Steve 7 and First son of Cogerson 6. As for Clash of the Titans….it made a boatload of money…..which got it’s spot in the Top 5….if you sort by review %, it tumbles down to 27th place (ouch!). I am still not sure is Men & Chicken is good or not….but it is memorable. Good stuff!

Mad Mikkelsensens an interesting subject for UMR attention, and a memorable Bond villain.

I’ve seen 7 of the 29 films on the chart, more than I thought. Favorites are – Casino Royale, Doctor Strange, Star Wars Rogue One, Clash of the Titans, King Arthur and The Three Musketeers. I’ve also seen Valhalla Rising but I can’t remember it much.

Looking at the charts Casino Royale is his highest rated movie (and one of the best Bond movies) but’s it’s not his most successful film.

Here in the UK Mads has been appearing in tv adverts for Carlsberg beer.

    Nice work Bruce. Vote Up!

Hey Steve. Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts on Mads Mikkkellllssssennnsss. I agree with you, he made a great Bond villain. Tally count…15 for me, 7 for you. I have seen all of your 7. I am right there with you on Valhalla Rising…..even after reading my own review on that one…I am still having a hard time remembering specifics about that movie….especially since I saw Age of Uprising: The Legend of Michael Kohlhaas ….which was very similar ….at least in my memory. So Mads is paying some bills by pushing Carlsberg Beer. Very interesting. I guess his Bond turn made him very well known in Bond’s home country. Good stuff as always.

    I liked Polar.

Sometimes I get Mads mixed up with Til Schweiger who he has co-starred with 3 times.

Mads has never been on the Oracle of Bacon list but Til is. These are the actors on the 2020 list he has appeared with.

Hey Dan. As always, thanks for sharing these Mads trivia lists. Both are small compared to your other epic lists. Til Schweiger? I have seen him in a few movies…..but I had to look him up to know who you were talking about. Til Schweiger is his most frequent Oracle co-star…I would have thought Mads would be the one on the list versus Til. My favorite tennis player was/is Mats Vilander. Mads, Til and Mats sounds like a law firm. Wow….his 2nd list is really small. I had to look twice when Richard Dreyfuss showed up in Polar. As always good stuff.

1/On top of his film career Mads has (1) appeared in 4 separate television productions including 39 episodes as the notorious Dr Lecter as mentioned above. US TV network aired censored versions of some episodes removing, for example, rear nudity and paintings showing nude figures and some scenes of violence. (2) made 2 video games (3) contributed to 3 music videos.

2/IMDB credits him with 32 acting awards and 34 noms and Celebrity Net Worth says he has a current net worth of $14 million.

3/Mads has at post-production stage (1) two Danish-language movies awaiting release this year lockdown circumstances permitting (2) an American English-language sci-fi one scheduled for release next year called Chaos Walking. If the production notes are anything to go by it should delight Steve when it appears as it involves –

“A dystopian world where there are no women and all living creatures can hear each-others’ thoughts in a stream of images, words, and sounds called Noise.”

4/ Mads is often voted the “sexiest man” in Denmark in polls. [Are there any “sexiest man in Virginia” polls ever published?]. Mads has lived in Copenhagen all his life except for a time when he resided in Toronto while filming the Hannibal series.

5/It’s good to see a Danish actor joining the Cogerson “Cosmopolitan Club” of performers who are awarded a new page so I welcome this one with a “Vote Up!”

Hey Bob….thanks for the feedback on our Mads page….the closest I could get to a Mats Wilander page…lol. You have shared some excellent information on his net worth, television roles, upcoming projects and how he is viewed in his home country. Chaos Walking sounds interesting. Good stuff as always.

I was watching Polar on NetFlix last night. Polar stars Mads Mikkelsen as a hitman being forced into retirement. About half way through the movie, i decided it was time to give Mads some UMR love. So now Mads has a page.

Overall I have seen 15 of his movies or over half of his movies. Favorites would include Casino Royale, The Hunt, King Arthur, Flame & Citron and Polar (though I just finished watching it…..so it might falter as time passes).
