  2. Hey Helakoski. Sorry that you did not enjoy Fantastic Beasts 2. The reviews have been pretty bad. Maybe pushing Eddie to the side is one of the reasons it is a weak movie.

  3. The first film I started noticing Eddie Redmayne was My Week With Marilyn, starring Michelle Williams as Marilyn Monroe and Kenneth Branagh as Laurence Olivier, did he direct? Can’t remember.

I’ve seen 8 of the 16 films on the chart, favorites are Jupiter Ascending (a guilty pleasure sci-fi and Eddie was unintentionally hilarious in a misjudged role as the main villain), Elizabeth The Golden Age (underrated!) and Fantastic Beasts.

Eddie was excellent as Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything but it’s not a film I enjoyed watching. Les Miserables had a superb cast and it looked great but I can’t remember a single song from that film. I lost interest in The Good Shepherd about half way thru, it took me a week or two before I decided to watch the rest of it. I shouldn’t have bothered.

    Good stuff Bruce. Vote Up!

    1. Hey Steve. Seems I have been aware of him since 2008. He had a small but memorable role in The Other Boleyn Girl and Savage Grace which is a strange but based on a true story movie with Julianne Moore. Moore and Redmayne won Oscars almost a decade after starring in Savage Grace.

Overall I have seen 11 of his movies. I am not a huge fan of Jupiter Ascending….but Redmayne’s villain really chewed up the scenery in that movie. I agree with about The Theory of Everything (as well as The Danish Girl)…..one and done movies for me.

Eddie does not show up until the end of the Good Sheppard….so it takes a long time to get to his part. I guess my favorite would be Fantastic Beasts 1….sad that many are not enjoying Fantastic Beasts 2. Good feedback as always.

  4. He has accomplished a lot in a short time. I can see him becoming a two time Oscar winning actor in the new future.

    1. Hey Taylor you might be right. With 2 Oscar nominations and 1 Oscar win in 16 movies you might be right…..as that is a great percentages. Add in the fact that he is still so young, I can see him getting a second Oscar win.

  5. I wish I could report that Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindel was a good movie, sadly I can not. Disappointing very disappointing! Eddie is pushed to the side in this one.
