  1. Marion Cotillard fell off the Oracle of Bacon Top 1000 Center of the Hollywood Universe list when they converted their data from the IMDB to Wikipedia. For instance her 2014 film The Immigrant had 7 people on the list (including her) and they all fell off with the new data. The Dark Knight Rises lost 27 people! These are the people she is currently affiliated with on the current list.

    1. Hey Dan. Great information as always. You remain the man. Sorry to see that she dropped off the list. I would guess she has a good chance to get back on in the near future. That was a lot of people for her Batman movie. Looking at the first list I do not see many people with multiple films. You have to go all the way near the bottom to see somebody with two movies together. 24 Oscar winners is actually a good total since she has so few movies. Good stuff as always.

  2. Not too familiar with her career other than her Nolan blockbusters and Allied. I liked Big Fish though her part was pretty small.

    1. Hey Taylor. Glad this page has shed some light on her career. For some reason Christopher Nolan keeps casting her in the villain roles. Maybe that’s why she stop making movies with him. Big fish is a movie I watch regularly. My other favorite is A Good Year. Easily the worst movie set testicle he that Russell Crowe in Ridley Scott made together….but I love that movie. Good feedback as always.

  3. [Clears throat, stands on chair and starts singing la vie en rose…. cue cheering, clapping, whistling…]

Okay I’ve seen… 10 of the 28 films on the chart, more than I thought.

Favorites include – Inception, Dark Knight Rises, Assassins Creed and Anchorman 2.

I’ve got Taxi on DVD but can’t remember it at all. I have so many films on DVD that I haven’t watched since buying them, gathering dust on my shelves. But I’d never get rid of them, I like having a huge collection. It’s a bit like stamp collecting except those tiny bits of paper are worth more than the shiny discs.

    Nice work Bruce. Vote Up.

    1. Hey Steve. Tally count 18 for me, 10 for you, 7 for bob cox and three for Flora. I hope when you start singing her songs from the Rose movie you record yourself so we can compare versions…..lol. I like all of your favorite movies of hers but I don’t love any of them. You should check out taxi and let me know how good it is, as I’ve always wanted to see that movie.

The rest of the comment….I was on a walk when it started to pour and the iphone had to be put away.

The beauty of your collection is that you have kept all the movies you have bought. My VHS, Laserdiscs, regular DVDs have been thrown out/donated or sold as the new technology has come out. So far… I have resisted the 4K movies…..I think in a few more years that will be out of fashion too.

      Good stuff as always.

  4. My mom and I love her. She seems to be getting better with age. I will admit that we thought the lead actress from Amelie would have become a bigger star than Cotillard. Nice diversity in subjects.

    1. Hey Helakoski. Good to know that you and your mom like her so much. Good observation on Cotillard and Audrey Tautou. After the succes of Amelie, I thought she was going to have a great career…..instead it has been overshadowed by Marion. Thanks for the kind words.

    1. Hey Marcel. I saw and enjoyed A Very Long Engagement….but do not remember Cotillard’s role at all. Actually I do not remember Jodie Foster in the movie either. Thanks for stopping by.
