Well, you have come to the right place…. because we have all of that information and much more.

Paul Gleason (1939-2006) was an American character actor.  Casual movie fans might not recognize the name Paul Gleason.  But if you say….”He was the assistant principal in The Breakfast Club and the dumb Los Angeles police officer in Die Hard“….I am sure many will be able to picture Mr. Gleason.  His IMDb page shows 151 acting credits from 1962 to 2011. This page will rank Paul Gleason movies from Best to Worst in six different sortable columns of information. To do well in the rankings, a movie needed to do well at the box office, be liked by both critics and audiences and earn some award recognition.  Sadly, many of his low budget movies did not make our rankings.  This was due to lack of box office information on many of those movies.

  • Sort Paul Gleason movies by co-stars of his movies.
  • Sort Paul Gleason movies by adjusted domestic box office grosses using current movie ticket cost (in millions)
  • Sort Paul Gleason movies by yearly domestic box office rank

  1. I have seen 28 of Paul’s movies listed above; the highest ranked I have not seen is Red Letters.

Paul is no longer on the Oracle of Bacon top 1000. He fell off a long time ago. the highest he was ever ranked was 352 on the first list back in 2000. He is the # 233 most connected actor of the 1980s.

These are the actors on the 2021 list he appeared with.

    1. Hey Dan. Good information on Paul Gleason. I have seen 18 of his movies. 2 of those movies, The Breakfast Club and Die Hard, being in my Top 10 of movies watched the most times. Glad to see that he got so high on the Oracle list. Alec Baldwin and Charlie Sheen get most frequent Oracle co-stars with 4 movies. As for the Oscar winners….16 is a little on the low side…but he has some legends on the list for sure. Good stuff as always.
