Pixar Movies vs DreamWorks Movies Can Be Ranked 7 Ways In The Table Below

The really cool thing about this table is that it is “user-sortable”. Rank the movies anyway you want.

  • Movie title and with a link to the movie’s trailer.
  • Sort Pixar Movies and DreamWorks Movies by which company produced the movie and the voice star of the movie
  • Sort Pixar Movies and DreamWorks Movies by adjusted domestic box office grosses using current movie ticket cost (in millions)
  • Sort Pixar Movies and DreamWorks Movies by adjusted worldwide box office grosses using current movie ticket cost (in millions)
  • Sort Pixar Movies and DreamWorks Movies by critic reviews and audiences voting.  60% rating or higher should indicate a good movie.
  • Sort by how many Oscar® nominations and how many Oscar® wins each Pixar Movie and DreamWorks Movie received.
  • Sort Pixar Movies and DreamWorks Movies by Ultimate Movie Rankings (UMR) Score.  UMR Score puts box office, reviews and awards into a mathematical equation and gives each movie a score.  The ceiling to earn points for box office is $200 million…once a movie passes that mark it stops earning points in that category.
  • You can use the search and sort buttons to make this table very interactive.

OK, I L-O-V-E cartoon animation. I think a very big chunk of me never grew up (kind of scary, really). Toy Story is my number one favourite and I cannot wait to see Brave! Nemo has a special place in my heart too. I find your reviews interesting and spot on. I too am torn at times between Disney and dream works.

Hey Garifalia….I know the feeling of never growing up….I have had the joy of watching my older children(now 24 and 20) love Toy Story back when it came out….and then watching my younger children(now 6 and 3) experiencing the same characters…in Toy Story 3…so Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Bullseye, Slotted Pig and the gang have seemed like family members for the last 17 years.

Finding Nemo is another one that has been seen many many times in my house. Thanks for the kind words and for the visit.

A lot of great stats! Toy Story will always be one of my faves, but Brave was awesome from a non-Cinderella syndrome mom wanting to teach her daughter not all princesses wear glass slippers! We both loved it and thought Disney creators who do the princess movies should have created it so she could be the newest Disney princess.

Hey Eyestraightahead…glad to see you and your daughter enjoyed Brave….my family agrees with you 100%….as Brave was a huge hit with my 5 year old(soon to be 6 year old….and soon to own a Brave nightgown for her birthday), my 3 year old and my wife.

Glad you liked all the stats….I appreciate the visit and the comment.

For me, it’ll always be Toy Story since that’s the one that started it all. I also don’t understand all of the love for Toy Story 3. I thought it was sort of dark (in tone) , and I don’t know that I would show it to my 4 year old.

Hey First Colony…..thanks for commenting and visiting my Pixar/Dreamworks hub. I love all three Toy Story movies….I do not think Toy Story 3 is that much darker than Toy Story 1….I think that Sid is probably a darker character than Cuddley Bear(I think that was his name).

I think the rumors of Toy Story 4 are just that….rumors. Pixar seems interested in making sequels….as Monster University is next year and then I think a new The Incredibles is coming after that one…Toy Story 4 will be here in 2017

Pixar has the image of Steve Jobs.

“Why would I ever want to run Disney? Wouldn’t it make more sense just to sell them Pixar and retire?” – by Steve Jobs.
