Requests

requests1

Thankfully we get lots of requests for new pages.  Well…the wife recently informed me that my way of collecting my requests was pretty weak.  She seems to think that writing down requests on whatever piece of paper or napkin or bill that is currently on my desk is not the way to do it.  So….since she is way smarter than me….I have decided to create a page just for requests.  Plus it should give a good idea of what pages are coming down the pike.

My logic in picking which page to do next….I lean heavily towards the subject that has the most requests.

  • Roger Corman – request by Dan
  • Peter Cushing – request made by SteveLensman, Dan & Brando 90
  • Disney Live Action 1967-1980 – request by Mimic
  • Foreign Movies requested by Laurent
  • Samuel Goldwyn – request by Dan
  • Sam Katzman – request by Dan
  • Fritz Lang – request by Lupino, Just Me
  • Bruce Lee – request by Brando 90
  • Harold Lloyd – request by Søren, Me
  • Henry Mancini – request by Flora
  • Patricia Medina – request by Dan
  • Mirisch Brothers – request by Dan
  • Edward Small – request by Dan
  • Rudolph Valentino – request by Laurent

Completed requests:

Many more to come…have to find all of my old napkins and transfer the requests to this page.

  1. I’m sorry for requesting the same thing over again. If there’s something about movies and numbers I’m interested in, it’s the adjusted box-office/admissions/sold tickets.
I want to understand the difference between UMR’s list on all-time global adjusted box-office and Wikipedia’s list of highest grossing films by box-office admissions. The two lists are inconsistent to each other. Look at the two lists. You’ll see that when comparing movies, one ranks higher than another on UMR, yet it’s the other way around on Wikipedia. I want to know where that difference comes from. Please, I would love to hear an explanation. I would love that even more than to see a list on China’s all-time adjusted box-office.

  2. Hi Mr. Cogerson,

    FYI

I have completed years for estimated B.O. data for the years 1923, 1922 and only a partial of 1921.
Variety issues do not go back any further.
You might get random reading columns and finding individual movie B.O. data for certain movies,
I will be going on to years 1934 and 1935.
    Thx
