Sal Mineo (1939-1976) was a 2-time Oscar®-nominated American film actor.  Mineo was mostknown for his performance as John “Plato” Crawford 1955’s  Rebel Without a Cause.   Sal Mineo’s two Oscar® nominations were for Best Supporting Actor for his roles in Rebel Without a Cause and 1960’s Exodus.
