How our questions work.  We rearranged a movie’s synopsis to include all superheroes or supervillains that appeared in that non-comic book movie.   Only movies with at least two superheroes or supervillains are among the movies in the questions.  For example:  In what movie does a malfunction in a sleeping pod on a spacecraft traveling to a distant colony planet wake up Starlord, Mystique and Goliath 90 years early? The answer is Passengers which starred, Chris Pratt who plays Starlord in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, Jennifer Lawrence who played Mystique in the X-Men movies, and Laurence Fishbourne who played Goliath in Ant-Man and the Wasp.

 

1. Deadpool discovers that he’s actually an NPC inside a brutal, open world video game which Korg created. Captain America, Mr. Fantastic, Wolverine & Black Adam show up in cameo roles.

2. Corpseman Dey/Wreck-It-Ralph and Joker, an infamous duo of gunslinging assassins, chase a gold prospector and his unexpected ally, Magneto, in 1850s Oregon.

3. Rocket working his way up from low-ranking carnival worker to lauded psychic medium matches wits with Hela, bent on exposing him.  The Green Goblin and Hellboy appear in supporting roles.

4. A young German boy in the Hitler Youth whose hero and imaginary friend, Korg, is the country’s dictator is shocked to discover that his mother, Black Widow, is hiding a Jewish girl in their home.  Justin Hammer helps out our hero.

5. In the 1930s, three friends (Batman, Harley Quinn, Denzel’s son) witness a murder, are framed for it, and uncover one of the most outrageous plots in American history. Gamora, General Zed, and Illyana Rasputin appear in supporting roles.

6. Five assassins (Vanisher, Kick-Ass, Jefferson Davis) aboard a swiftly-moving train find out that their missions have something in common. General Zed and Shingen turn out to be the players with all the cards.

7. Hespera, an octogenarian Jewish refugee, and her lawyer, Deadpool & Zemo, take on the Austrian government to recover artwork she believes rightfully belongs to her family.

8. Joker, who has failed as a father and husband commits a heist with Alfred Pennyworth, to make money for his fledging business, but things become complicated when his wife interferes.

9. Hank/Beast, Ghost Rider‘s henchman and inmate at the lunatic asylum for decades, longs for a life away from his boss, his various demands, and all of the bloodshed that comes with them.  Katy plays the love interest.

10. Erik Killmonger has been thriving in both his career and family life (he’s married to Valkyrie), but when Kang the Conqueror, a childhood friend and former boxing prodigy resurfaces, the face-off is more than just a fight.

11. A Chicago television celebrity, Ghost Rider, separated from his wife and children (Hank/Beast), living under the shadow of his father, Alfred Pennyworth, debates whether professional and personal success are mutually exclusive.

12. A noble family becomes embroiled in a war for control over the galaxy’s most valuable asset while its heir becomes troubled by visions of a dark future. Features supporting roles for Aquaman, MJ, Thanos/Cable, Drax and Moon Knight.

13. A proficient group of thieves led by Batman & Hawkeye,  rob a bank and hold Claire, the assistant manager, hostage. Things begin to get complicated when one of the crew members falls in love with Claire. Carol Ferris has a supporting role.

14. Growing up in post-World War II era Arizona, young Sammy aspires to become a filmmaker as he reaches adolescence, but soon discovers a shattering family secret (between the Riddler, the Green Hornet & Anne Weying) and explores how the power of films can help him see the truth.

15. Iron Man who can talk to animals embarks on an adventure to find a legendary island with a young apprentice and a crew of strange pets (Spider-Man, Talia al Ghul, Peacemaker, and Kingo).

16. In the dead of a Wyoming winter, a bounty hunter, Ego and his prisoner find shelter in a cabin currently inhabited by a collection of nefarious characters (Nick Fury, Abomination, and Sonny Burch).

17. After New York City receives a series of attacks from giant flying robots, a reporter, Pepper Potts, teams up with a pilot, Yon-Rogg, in search of their origin, as well as the reason for the disappearances of famous scientists around the world.  Thena is the villain.

18. Batman and the Green Goblin, try to maintain their sanity while living on a remote and mysterious New England island in the 1890s.

19. A struggling screenwriter, the Penguin, inadvertently becomes entangled in the Los Angeles criminal underworld after his oddball friends, Justin Hammer & Max Shreck, kidnap a gangster’s (Cletus Kasady) beloved Shih Tzu.

20. Security guard David Dunn uses his supernatural abilities to track Professor Charles Xavier, a disturbed man who has twenty-four personalities and is in love with Illyana Rasputin.  Nick Fury is also along for the ride.
